Paris Morris wrote her first book in the My Friend Paris series, I'm Having Twins, when she found no childrens books addressing the issues she was going through while her parents were expecting twins. Her second and third books, My Twins are Coming Home and My Twins' First Birthday were borne of her experiences during the first year of her twin sisters' lives. Paris Goes to Lake Tahoe is the child author's fourth book and is the first of her travel books. her younger sister Liberty has releases Paris goes to San Francisco as the fifth book in the series. As a child psychologist and a parent of 4, I highly recommend the Paris Morris book series. My kids love the bright, charming illustrations and the voice of the child narrator. I am impressed at how complex issues such as sibling rivalry are dealt with in such simple and elegant prose. The travel books are excellent as well. The whole series very effectively presents a "child's-eye"point of view.

Being an older sibling of twins can be a challenge (especially when your two siblings are sharing and celebrating a birthday). This series of books is a wonderful resource. We bought this book for a gift for our oldest child to give on the birthday of the twins. It was great!

This is the third book in the Paris series. This one covers the twin sisters first birthday. At first Paris feels a bit left out. Then her parents let her help plan the party and pick out presents. She even gets to invite one of her friends. Most of the twins gets are also twins! Paris helps the twins blow out the candles and open presents.

This ebook will be easy for young children to understand. Young children should also enjoy the bright and fun illustrations.
