With "Twirl" AO Music offeres up a compilation of unique musical compositions that take the listener on a fantastic sonic journey. Miriam Stockly's voice is captivating in "On Jai Ya". If by some chance you've stumbled upon this CD without prior knowledge of Miriam Stockly you will find equally absorbing her "Ruwenzori" on the "Meriam" CD, "Umoya" and "One Dream" on the "Second Nature" CD and of course the voice of "Adiemus" on "Songs of Sanctuary".

I just love anything that Miriam Stockly (the voice of Adiemus) does and since many of her CDs are imports or hard to find that makes AO's Twirl is an excellent find. Take a listen to the music samples and judge for yourself.
AO also has another album entitled "Grow Wild." Grow Wild preceded Twirl and has a more global approach on the mix of instrumentation (banjos, for example). While the production is just as high quality as Twirl, I didn't like it quite as much. If you like Adiemus you should really enjoy Twirl. Sunrise |
