Kaisers do it again,
By james (London) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Twist With the Kaisers (Audio CD)
Wow what can I say, their 5th LP released 1999.I was a bit late picking this one up as I'm not really into Live recordings, but this is not just a live recording, this is the Kaisers... From the opening track "Come on back" until their closing number "Let's stomp" this record had me twisting & bopping around the living room for the 40 minutes or so of pure energy captured on this disc. I was very pleased to see 9 songs which have not been on any of their previous records (I have all other 4 LPs) I particulary liked the ballad "Whatcha gonna do about it" and the Chartbusters cover "She's the one" What more can I say, if you're a fan of Britsh Beat Music this and their other LPs will fit in snuggly with the rest of your collection. A Must......... James

Love Potion Number Nine,

For those not familiar with Mr.Miller and co.AKA the Kaisers, they are much more than they seem. On the surface they seem like another retro-retread and some flash. Not so! The Kaisers are one of those acts that while pursuing a sound and style of music they became something more. Ry Cooder is another artist like that. A hybrid of early 60's british beat music is what the Kaisers do. I feel i have a right to review this disc because I was there when it was recorded. I don't have to look ever again at grainy pictures of the cavern and wonder what it was like. The Kaisers took me there. From one song to another the Kaisers played with exact precision and tempo. Never missing a guitar fill or vocal pharasing. The truth is the Kaisers are probably better than the Beatles were at the cavern. It will be interesting to see where they take this music in coming years. On a hot summer night in Indiana however they played for the kids. "twist and shout!" p.s. George. Are those framus guitars on
