Not since Nellie McKay's "Obligatory Villagers" have I have been so excited about an album of all original material (save for a beautiful Beck song, 'Lost Cause'). Produced by the legendary Don Dixon (REM's producer), two arrangements by Van Dyke Parks, backing vocals by Marti Jones (!) and mastered at NYC's Sterling Sound, it's an album in the same league as the best of James Taylor, Carole King and Paul Simon.
