I started listening to this release having read the massive influence of guys like Eric Johnson and SRV on Oz Noy's playing. It is impossible for this not to build up certain expectations as to what the music may or may not sound like. One listen through the tracks, however, shattered any of these expectations in one shot!

While there are phrases and licks played on this album that are undeniably SRV, and his beautiful strat tone deserves to be mentioned alongside that of EJ and SRV, this man has one foot firmly planted in the world of jazz. In fact, if someone were to ask me today to give a comparable artist to Mr Noy, I would sooner mentioned Larry Carlton or Robben Ford than anyone else. But the thing about comparisons is that they never do justice to the artist, because as soon as I say that I think about this version of Cissy Strut, which is as good, albeit different to, the versions by John Scofield and John Mayer. So, enough about comparisons, lets talk about the music!

A fully instrumental album, this is one for the guitar junkies (me), and it pleases from note 1. The funky muted groove and Hammond B3 keyboard sound that kicks us off is fantastic, and pulls us into the awesome hooky lick that is "Twisted Blues" and from that point on there is no turning back. We are taken on a tour of jazz-blues like no other, and the tour guide is a master on the subject. The album is just great to listen to, with guitar tones from Scofield to Hendrix and everyone in between.

Too sophisticated to be blues, and not serious enough to be jazz, this album is just an awesome guitar jam. Recommended for all fans of jazz blues music, and a MUST for any guitarist who would like to hear how outside notes should be used in a solo this is going to be on repeat for a long while in my playlist!

A must have album for fans of Oz Noy! A great album for fans of inventive Jazz-Blues-Rock guitar playing. If you like Robben Ford, Andy Timmons, Michael Landau, etc. - BUY THIS and support a great muscian.

I'll keep it simple.
This music sounds as if Wayne Krantz was morphed into the body of Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Hopefully this short review helps a few of you.

My experience with the product received is very good, this is a CD you can not buy it in my country of residence, if I can either listen to or download from various Internet sites interested I have the original disk. I do not speak English so I'm using an online translator to send my comments and I hope it does not change the essence or what I mean.
