This holiday parody collection has a few masterpieces on it which more than make up for a dated clunker or two. "The Chimney Song", also known as "Santa's stuck up in the chimney" is worth the purchase price all by itself if you have a kid between the ages of eight and 13. Also fine are "Twelve Pains of Christmas" and "Wreck the Malls" and "The Restroom Door Said 'Gentlemen' and "I'm Dressing Up Like Santa When I Get Out on Parole." The misfires include a Jack Nicholson-sound-alike recitation and "Come All Ye Faithful Dead-heads". If you like this sort of thing, also consider buying from Amazon Dave Rudolf's "Completely Cracked Christmas." That one's as good as this, and also has a stuck-in-the-fireplace Santa song, coincidentally. Both of them work for temporarily relieving the stress of shopping, traffic and other holiday burdens.

The words to these hysterically funny tunes, especially the "12 Pains" song, really depict how idiotic people become during the holiday season! Very funny! Great for any holiday party or to relieve stress at work. Buy this one for hard to buy for people or for grab bags.

If anyone has the Christmas blues this box set will surely uplift your spirits. Forget the bills,forget the stresses of Christmas shopping,forget the hetic holiday pace and sit back and enjoy this box set that will tickle your funnybone and take your mind off all those holiday worries. This one is a true classic for the season and I would recomend it for anyone who might take the holiday season too seriously.

The best cut - by far is the 12 Pains of Christmas, especially when the song gets to the higher numbers and the singers are getting frustrated with their "tasks." The Child singing "The Chimney Song" was adorable. I also laughed aloud at "The Restroom Door Said Gentleman." The message from Elvis and the Jack Nickelson peice - I could've done without. Also the "Foreigners" track usually get's fastfowarded over. All in all I really do enjoy the tape.

Seattle's Bob Rivers and his Twisted crew have gathered the best of their Christmas parodies into one safe place - a 3 CD box set. A great investment for anyone who enjoys the lighter side of life. You will laugh, you will guffaw, you will want to go shopping. Well, maybe not shopping, but you will get a chuckle or two. A wonderful set of music to decorate the plastic tree with.

Every year at Christmas, people will listen to Christmas music and watch Christmas movies, and while most people like peaceful Christmas music, a lot of people do like parody Christmas music, and anytime you want a good, funny album with parody Christmas music, you should turn to Bob Rivers. Rivers is hillarious, and usually every year at Christmas( last year Rivers did not release a CD) he will release an album with parody Christmas music. "Twisted Christmas" is a lot of fun. The only dissapointment on this CD is the short, four minute skit "A Visit From St. Nicholson", which is just not very funny. The rest of the album is hillarious, and topics like hangovers at Christmas, wrecking malls, restroom doors talking, and dressing up like Santa when you get out on parole are just plain funny. "Twisted Christmas" was released in 1987, and some of the music to the parodies on this CD sound very 80's. I think I like Bob Rivers' Christmas music better than I like peaceful Christmas music.

the songs are pretty corny and the music's pretty rough, but the lines are hysterical! I play it every year as a tradition now when we go around looking at xmas lights.

I have to admit that I like all of Bob's music. I have been purchasing these items each time a new one is for sale. The way that Bob Rivers uses classical music for some of his work is hilarous and his version of Christmas songs just cannot be beat. There isn't any other comedy recordings that I find as good as these. I recommend all of his CD's.

This was released as a demo to radio stations which is the copy I still have and love, buying CD tonight, many years ago, probably 12+ without looking at my orginal album. Laugh a minute!! Most tracks are really good, couple in there that should have been left on the cutting room floor, but this is definitly money well spent to lighten the holiday mood!! "Get a flashlight..I blew a Fuse!!!"

This CD was my christmas blues killer. My friends and I even sing these versions of the christmas classics on our own! Must have for that holiday party.
