4.0 out of 5 stars Beyond the expected realms of conventional sound..
It's certainly worth repetitive airplay on a system with LOTS of bassssz. You'll find yourself coming back to this album and discovering how simply intelligent the music really is. versus
3.0 out of 5 stars well, it is Panacea
Really, you know what you are going to get when you buy a Panacea album. I did not like this album as much as "Low Profile Darkness" and "Phoenix Metabolism", but it is still good. Not too much stuff like it now. Since the unfortunate downfall of darkstep, It is getting pretty rare to find new music like this, you have to head up to the faster...

4.0 out of 5 stars Beyond the expected realms of conventional sound.., October 22, 1999

It's certainly worth repetitive airplay on a system with LOTS of bassssz. You'll find yourself coming back to this album and discovering how simply intelligent the music really is. Given the timeframe since his previous album (Low Profile Darkness) I would have expected something more "revolutionary" in concept however Panacea's style is undoubtedly distinctive and Twisted Designz harks back to his earlier work with the revival of numerous samples. Believe me..your speakers aren't broken..it's supposed to sound like that!

4.0 out of 5 stars Panacea- Man with Twisted music Designz, February 3, 1999

Panacea's Twisted Designz is *definitely* different from usual popular music. He himself calls this kind of music as a 'Hardcore-Drum&Bass' which is only good description to these sounds. All songs but one (Quantum Loop) are based on tech/two step styled drum&bass, but all sounds are very dark and usually strongly distorted. Basslines are powerful and they're playing major role in whole album. This Force Inc. /Position Chrome product is still not so agressive as e.g. Panacea's preceding album, Low Profile Darkness, was. Still Panacea has managed to get new, raging and unique sounds out of his equipments. According to me the best song in the album is Motion Sickness where Panacea have used more samples than usually is used in whole album. There are no really bad songs at all, and in total TD is very good record. Just a little bit more aggressive attitude and five stars would be obvious.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good music....bad cover art, January 9, 2005

Panacea is wicked noise / idm, whatever the heck we're calling this stuff these days. This album is good and does nicely in further confusing music fans by genre bending and blending.

I heard one of these folks' songs on echo.com and decided to pick up the cd because of my hunger for ultra-distorted heavy techno sound. This cd definitely has it.

I would categorize this CD in the minimalist/experimentalist/drum 'n bass genre. Panacea is not afraid to use silence during a track, which is a bold move that I applaud. This being the case, this music is not one that you will want to pump up on your car stereo system.

Panacea gives just a taste of their full aggressive capability on some tracks (track #1 for instance), which will hopefully be more fully expressed on future releases.

2.0 out of 5 stars can't come up with original sounds, July 16, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Twisted Designz (Audio CD)
panacea from the beginning has been too lazy to come up with original sounds. you can hear rips from all the better artists.

current value, his friend, is a lot better - i have never heard the guy sample from another artist, all the sounds are fresh and new

2.0 out of 5 stars Hardcore - maybe not, July 15, 2001
This review is from: Twisted Designz (Audio CD)
Deemed "hardcore D&B", I seem to feel this record out as a sampling of other artists records and integrated with dead, motionless beats and industrial strength noises. This has a lot to do with German music, as they seem to be able to only produce high BPM low-emotional fieldings. If you really wanted Hardcore, you wouldn't waste your time with this album and move straight onto original, quality content... Digital Hardcore Recordings.
