Rich Mussler's first book is a delighful compilation of stories. His imaginings and characters will spark your own imagination.
Each story is a stand-alone crafting of fiction that will make you reflect on the nature of people, relationships, and perhaps yourself. Highly recommended reading -- I hope Mr. Mussler puts his talents to continued use ... While greatly satisfying in itself, "Twisted Texan" leaves you wishing for even more of his stories!

What a fun bunch of stories! Mussler has a good command of the language, as displayed in the last story "Forever Yours" with the witty back and forth of the guys playing racketball. These stories go from sweet to surprising. Never a dull moment!

This is one of those books of short stories that is perfect to take to bed for end of the day reading. However, beware, once you start a story, it's difficult to put down. Mussler's plots twist and turn -- as the title promises -- until the very end. But along the way you gain insight into his poignancy, his regrets, his sadness, and yes, also his joy at life. My favorite stories are "Everett" because every person who ever went to grade school can relate to the pain described in this story, and "Muddy Boots" because it is Texas talk through and through.
