Sam Cooke. What can I say, a legend. A life cut short by a man with an itchy trigger finger. They say he was getting rough with some women and a hotel manager intervened on their behalf. Yeah right, I will buy such a story for two and a half elf winks. Ill tell you what I think happened....Sammy was getting crinkled with a couple of blonds in his suit. I'm sure that they were throwing themselves at him. They probably made him a few offers to spend the night performing various activities none of which included "twisting the night away". Sammy being the gentleman that he was, insisted they consume more alcohol so they would have a concrete excuse to relieve their shame the next morning. A sweetheart of a man who always put others first. So there they are enjoying a pleasurable eveningb/t conventing adults. Then the unthinkable occurs. A knock at the door, Sammy thinks "who could that be?" When he opens up there is a woman who resembles a prize winning county fair hog, and smells like a wet dog who has been rolling around on an adult diaper filled with the waste of a three hundred pound gorilla after he has gorged himself on Indian food. Deginately not up to Sam's caliber of women. Now he should have sent her packing, but as I mentioned before, that was not his style. Always looking for the good in a bad situation he remember's the dorky motel manager downstairs. Sammy calls him up and coaxed " Cupid to draw back his bow". Minutes later Sammy's room is hotter than TJ on spring break. Things Are going down that would make Charlie sheen blush! Then dorky old hotel man strikes out with shrek. Embarrassed and enraged he ends the life of our hero. All we are left with is the question of what may have been.

Who, with great musical taste, doesn't love this song? Back in the day ;) we were line and group dancing and closing down the clubs to Sam Cooke and his peers. It just makes you smile, wiggle your torso, and move your feet. Have a good day!
