More About the Author
When Jacob graduated college with honors and a double major, he thought the world was his oyster. At his first job he was promised an exciting opportunity to work on interesting projects and travel the U.S., instead he was stuck doing data entry and creating power-point presentations while commuting 1.5 hours each way. The day the CEO asked him to get coffee was the day he knew he had to get out of there. Since then, Jacob has been fascinated with how the world of work is changing and has been studying it ever since. Jacob went off on his shortly after that experience and hasn't worked for anyone else ever since.
Today, Jacob Morgan is an author, keynote speaker, and futurist. Morgan is a globally recognized thought leader on the future of work and his new book, "The Future of Work," (Wiley Sept. 2014) explores how employees of the future will work, how managers of the future will lead, and how organizations of the future will be structured. His previous book, "The Collaborative Organization," (McGraw Hill 2012) became an Amazon best-seller and is the first and only comprehensive strategy guide on how organizations can successfully deploy collaboration technologies to solve internal business problems.
Jacob's books have been endorsed by global leaders such as the chief information officer of the United States of America, CEO and founder of Craigslist, CEO of SAP, Gary Hamel, President of Whirlpool International, CEO of Unisys, CEO of Zappos, CEO of Schneider Electric, Chair of the MIT Sloan Management Review, and dozens of others.
