Book Description

When it comes to hand-to-heart combat, no hold is barred.

A Day of Pleasure, Book 2

Molly Ryan survived one attack, and she’s not about to be a sitting duck for another. With her attacker harassing her from his jail cell, she packs up her life in Chicago, follows her Delta Force brother to North Carolina and gets work in a pub.

Men in uniform are definitely off her menu, but her boss’s friend, Army Ranger Callum Eversman, is one hot hunk she’d like to sample.

Home on a two-week furlough, Cal has agreed to watch over Molly as a favor to fellow Ranger Noah Harper. Accomplishing his mission without her noticing? That’s going to be tough, as any idiot can see their sparks of attraction from a mile away.

Despite her hands-off-military-men policy, Molly is tempted to indulge, just this once, in a no-strings-attached fling. No dating, no kissy face, no hearts involved. But when her past threatens her future, there’s only one man to turn to. The one who’ll risk everything—body, heart, and soul—to protect her.

Warning: Contains an Army Ranger with a gruff exterior and heart of gold, a heroine with a sassy attitude, and some hot borderline-public sex.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Short Story July 29, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Great short story!

I was given this book to read and review by the author and Paranormal Romance & Authors that Rock. I want to give this a 4 fang rating.

Molly is in trouble. A man she had put in prison is sending his lackeys after her for revenge. With her military brother deployed, and her boss going on his honeymoon, Noah (her boss), calls in his Army Ranger friend Callum. Cal takes 1 look at Molly and realizes this isn't going to be an ordinary mission. Can Cal keep his mind and his hands on his task to keep Molly safe?

I really liked this book. It is fast paced with an interesting storyline. *Added bonus- hot military men!!!*

5.0 out of 5 stars NOONER July 29, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is filled with absolute badassery, heat and one of my all-time favorite sex scenes EVER. Yep, I said EVER. I could end my review right there right? I’m feeling wordy so you’re out of luck.
I fell in love with Molly the moment I met her smart arsed (thank Amazon for my inner Brit being released) self in Cora’s debut and the first book in this series, Morning Light or as I like to call it “WOOD.” Yes, I nicknamed the book, this one as well which I lovingly call NOONER. I have issues, don’t judge me. As I was saying I couldn’t help but to be drawn to Molly in Noah and Tenn’s book. She’s funny and fierce and quite obviously hiding something behind all of that awesomeness. I usually don’t care one way or another about heroines but Molly grabbed me early on and never let go. I was smitten.
Then there’s Cal. Oh big bad, abs of steel, ARMY RANGER Cal whom immediately had me picturing The Rock in all of his hot, inked glory. He is alpha to the core and if I were Molly I would have jumped him ten seconds after meeting him. He’s there to protect her but is smart enough to see that she’s no delicate flower and can do a bang up job of protecting herself. A little hands on training, that should come with a heat advisory, and a whole lotta talk about what he wants from his little firecracker makes for an explosive, hot as hell love story.
There’s one scene that involves some glass that will have you in desperate need of a cold shower and a Cal of your own. Cora brought the heat in this one and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next. She is without a doubt now one of my must read authors and this is just the beginning for her.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Read!!! July 29, 2014

I was so excited to go back and visit the Drunkin' Duck and all the characters. I've been waiting impatiently for Molly's story. And Cora Cade did not disappoint.

I LOVED Cal & Molly's story. I also loved hearing about what Tenn & Noah have been up to. I'm dying for Chris's story. I also am excited for the new characters who have been introduced.

Cora Cade weaves fabulous stories...hot, steamy, with great plot and even better characters. She better write faster as I'm already waiting for more!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars An okay story, but I wanted more July 29, 2014
By Nicole
Format:Kindle Edition
This book was an enjoyable, quick read full of lust and suspense. It took me about three hours to read, with no desire for a break, but I think it was because I was waiting for a plot development that didn't happen on the pages. I found the attraction between Molly and Cal to be satisfactory to a degree. I wanted more detail, more background to the characters, more steam, more conflict. The premise of the book is that Molly was previously attacked and was on alert because her attacker was sending people after her from behind bars, so her friends keep a close eye on her to protect her. The POV was mildly confusing at times when switching to different character, but it wasn't too off putting that you had to re-read anything. *possible spoiler alert* I waited for the impending conflict and waited... it happens off set and you get a summary of the events after the fact. I was torn as to whether the book was trying to be a romance with some suspenseful moments or a suspense with a little sex tossed in. I would recommend the book if you are looking for something quick, with some action.
