Though the first story is the stronger of the pair because of the intrigue and danger imbued throughout the story line, both tales are well written and could have just as easily been sold as separate novels. Fans of western romance will devour this 2 for 1 gift package from the ingenious Ms. Miller.

I am a big fan of Miller stories, especially historical fiction in the old west. I loved the format of this book. It is truly two books in one. Each story stands on its own. But when you finish the first wondering what happened to the characters after the story is over you can simply turn the book over and find out.

I absolutely loved both stories but I have to say that I hated the way the stories end. Each story ends with the characters' first love scene and then it jumps to an epilogue that takes place one year later. The stories need just a brief, maybe one page transition from that love scene before it jumps to the epilogue and it would flow a lot better. It shows the sign of a great writer to get the reader so emotionaly involved that you don't want the book to end but we still need to end the book without feeling cheated from a great ending.

I enjoyed reading about these two brothers. I couldn't put the book down.It was so great to be able finish reading about Shay and Aislinn, than go right in and found what happens with Tristan.

I'm glad Ms. Miller's returned to writing historical romances, but although this one was good enough for me to complete, I felt as if I had been left dangling. There didn't seem to be as much fire between the heros and heroines, unlike her other books. I hope her next historical will be better.

This book was good, but it lacked the "I can't put it down until I've finished it" quality. Shay and Tristen's story was well written. The first part of the book and the story about Shay and Asilin was very good. It also introduced the major characters in the story. The second part of the book about Tristen and Emily was a bit more slow moving. The constant bickering about the sheep and her claim to the land got tiring. It would have gone quicker if something would have happened to those stupid sheep.

Two very sweet stories, but more action than romance. The intimate scenes are short, and there's only one for each. You will love both women though. They're determined and strong, and very brave.

I love Linda Lael Miller's books.The characters are life like, I love that she has dogs in the stories she writes. You laugh at the characters antics,you love the hero's and heroines.
