5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this movie!
Ok, the song where Keith and Shante first get it on in the movie is Sock It 2 Me by Missy Elliot and the last song at the end of the movie which they dance to is by For Real- Love Will Be Waiting At Home and by the end of the movie where the credits start its Montell Jordan- Get it on Tonight. Hope that helps they're all really great songs!

2.0 out of 5 stars Why License Music for the Flick if You're Not Gonna Put it on the Soundtrack?
I don't know much about Mark Brown, the director of the film which spawned this soundtrack, but I do know this: the man makes very effective use of popular music in his films. In fact, in "Two Can Play That Game", pop and r&b tunes pretty much stood in for traditional background music in every single scene.

Right from the jump, Sisqo and Dru Hill hit us up...

2.0 out of 5 stars Why License Music for the Flick if You're Not Gonna Put it on the Soundtrack?, January 19, 2010
This review is from: Two Can Play That Game (Audio CD)
I don't know much about Mark Brown, the director of the film which spawned this soundtrack, but I do know this: the man makes very effective use of popular music in his films. In fact, in "Two Can Play That Game", pop and r&b tunes pretty much stood in for traditional background music in every single scene.

Right from the jump, Sisqo and Dru Hill hit us up with "Big Bad Mama" (and updated version of "She's a Bad Mama Jama (She's Built, She's Stacked)" featuring Foxy Brown) and the songs came hot and heavy, one directly on the heels of the other, from there. Outside of radio tunes, there was no background music. The radio tunes WERE the background music...and it worked! Each song fit the scene it represented like a glove, and left this viewer at least bobbing his head to the beat.

After watching the film with my wife (who also enjoyed it, by the way) I immediately logged onto amazon to see if the soundtrack was available for sale.

Boy, was I disappointed.

The problem? The cd which supposedly represents this film's soundtrack is severely truncated.

Missing tunes include, but are not limited to:

"Love Will Be Waiting at Home" by Chante Moore
"Shake Your Pants" by Cameo
"Big Bad Mamma" by Foxy Brown featuring Dru Hill
"Two Can Play That Game" (the freakin' title of the film!!!) by KJ featuring Silver
"#1 Stunna" by Big Tymers featuring Lil' Wayne
"Love Will Be Waiting at Home" by For Real
"Mr. Big Stuff" by Jean Knight
"Sock It To Me" by Missy Elliott featuring Da Brat
"Danger" by Mystikal
"Get it On Tonight" by Montell Jordan
"Inside My Love" by Minnie Ripperton

Shoot, that's pretty much a whole other soundtrack by itself! Maybe I don't know much about the machinations of Hollywood executives, and how licensing works, but why pay the money to license songs for the film and then not put those songs on the soundtrack? You've got to know that's gonna leave your audience frustrated.

So folks, consider yourselves warned. If the ten songs listed above in amazon's product information/description of this disc float your boat, by all means, have at it, but if you were looking for any of the songs I listed above, be forewarned that you will not find them here.

Peace & Love, peoples.

4.0 out of 5 stars TWO CAN PLAY, March 1, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Two Can Play That Game (Audio CD)
Like alot of reviewers have already stated, Love the movie, it gets two thumbs up and 5 stars all day. The soundtrack gets 4 and not 5 stars because like some others stated, key songs that stood out during the movie was not included on the cd. Those key songs such as, TWO CAN PLAY THAT GAME...hello, the title of the movie, LOVE WILL BE WAITING AT HOME...the rap up and conclusion of all the chaos and silliness that Chante showed towards Keith when she finally realized he was a good man, Dru Hills Bad Mama Jama, Mr Bigstuff, Minnie Ripertons song and some others. I can still give the cd at least 4 stars because i did enjoy most of the songs on there especially 3, 4 and tracks 6-10 were really good. I liked Jodeci's song but its been around so long and we can hear that anywhere, anytime so i didnt understand why that was included on the soundtrack versus at least Hello....TWO CAN PLAY THAT GAME. Despite the bad judgement with excluding key songs, i still reccommend this cd because of good upbeat tracks and some nice slow songs, especially keke wyatts remake if only you knew
