5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent purchase- better than expected!
This was a great purchase. The cover is large and well constructed. We bought it for an oval-shaped custom made wooden picnic table and it works perfectly- covers the whole thing from top to bottom. I was expecting something much thinner, but I believe this should last for many years.

I've had this cover for a couple seasons, so I'll try to provide a quick 'initial reaction' with some long term evaluation. (Location: Denver - intense sun (year around), periodic rain and strong winds, with of course some snow.)

3.0 out of 5 stars Mixed review: impressive materials, performance a bit lacking, November 3, 2010

I've had this cover for a couple seasons, so I'll try to provide a quick 'initial reaction' with some long term evaluation. (Location: Denver - intense sun (year around), periodic rain and strong winds, with of course some snow.)

Out of the box: I was surprised how heavy it was in the box. Very thick material, with a flexible inner lining that makes it pretty water proof (except see below). It is definitely "heavier-duty" than a lot I've seen (sold via Rest. HW, Design W/In Reach), but it was more expensive as well. It has Velcro attachment tabs at the bottom spread around the edges to connect to the table/chairs as necessary.

Performance Review w/Grades:
WIND (C) I found that the design couldn't keep up with the occasional strong wind. I would attach the Velcro tabs to the chairs/table, minimizing slack, but wind would ultimately blow it off. (In some cases it actually separated the Velcro from the cover.) I ultimately ended up cutting slits every few feet about 1 foot off the ground and threaded a rope, to allow cinching of the cover, which is working pretty well.
RAIN (B) As mentioned above the material is pretty thick and waterproof, and we haven't had any leaks along the seams. However, there is a hole in the center for your umbrella post.
DURABILITY (B-) The Denver sun is pretty brutal, but the top has faded to the point where it looks like it's 10 years old. The center seam started separating making the hole for the umbrella grow from 6 inches to 3 feet. I eventually asked for help from a neighbor to sew it up completely with a standard sewing machine. Not exactly pretty, but it works.

So all in all, it's been more work than I expected. But at the same time, I realize how intense the exposure is here. From my research I don't believe there are any `obviously' superior products. In fact, I think this one will last another 5 years (despite how it looks.) Folks in gentler parts of the world will probably do just fine with this.

I have been very happy with my purchase, it fit my large table and survived through a very high wind storm that broke the straps on my hot tub cover but my table cover was still there in the morning!

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW what a great cover, October 4, 2011

I ordered this cover for my table and chairs to replace an old one. I was so impressed with this cover and the quality of how it was made and how it fit that I ordered two different covers for the rest of my patio furniture. They were great also.
Well worth the price.

I just covered my oval patio table and six chairs this weekend. Product seems very nice and materials seem strong. We'll see how it holds up against a NJ winter.
