From School Library Journal
Gr 1-3-- Colorfully illustrated puzzles, mazes, and games offer children simple facts about dinosaurs. Some of the puzzles really teach--for example, one has readers separate ornithiscians from saurischians by their hip bone structures. Others are fun, but pretty hypothetical--would a vegetarian dinosaur really scarf down french fries, or even recognize them as plant matter? The bright full-color watercolor illustrations, which are slightly reminiscent of Steven Kellogg's drawings, will attract children's attention. However, this slim book of activities is supplementary material; a better, similar source is The Big Beast Book (Little, 1988) by Jerry Booth. --Cathryn A. Camper, Minneapolis Public Library
