Eugene, Portland, Salem; these cities bring us some awesome bands, and the Rock n Roll Soldiers are no different. First hearing the two E.P.s on Gearhead Records, and then the collection on Atlantic, the boys have really grown on me. They are fighting the fight, and winning the battle of Rock N Roll. I am still taken back with "Lay Down and Die" and I can't believe it isn't in an A: Commericial (I predict Beer or Cars), B: TV Show or C: Constant Rotation as a video on TV.

This band is going to blow up in the next 6 months.

5.0 out of 5 stars My face has been thoroughly melted off., April 20, 2005
This review is from: Two Eps (Audio CD)
After seeing the Rock 'n' Roll Soldiers time and time again live I was extremely excited to grab hold of a copy of this CD. When I first listened to it I found it was even BETTER than I had initially expected. This CD contains songs everybody knows, like "Funny Little Feeling" and "Anthem" with less known older recordings like "Shut Your Eyes." Encompassing such critical points in the Soldier's musical careers, this is a must buy. Seriously. Do it. Do it! DOITDOITDOITDOIT!!!

I first heard about the Soldiers when i got one of thier songs free with my iTunes subscribtion. That one song (Funny Little Feeling)blew my mind so i had to buy this record. I wasn't disapointed in the least. It's a great mix of punk and garage rock. Almost every song on here is excellent (the first 3 songs being the best). When i heard they were playing at Larkfest i had to go and i still haven't processed how incredable this band is live. If you ever get the chance to see them take it. They are only a few steps away from being the biggest band in the world.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Reason, November 23, 2008
This review is from: Two Eps (Audio CD)
sorry if this is a short review, but i do not have much to say except the truth. i first heard one of the songs from this album on smallville, so i decided to buy the album. it turns out that i like more than one song and thats a plus. my point is if you want to find something you want thats hard to find anywhere else go to amazon.com. not only can you find what you are looking for, but it will be very reasonable, delivered fast, and great quality. now you can't ask for anything better than that.

4.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorite live bands., September 30, 2005
This review is from: Two Eps (Audio CD)
I have seen the soldiers twice, before they got bigger, and both times completly blew me away. I remember having to go like 10 miles out of town to go see them at some red neck community building. Marty zoo (vocals) accidently blew the P.A on there last song, and instead of callin it quites there, he sucked it up and delivered vocals that could be heard over all of the instruments!!!!needless to say I was far more than just immpressed. This weekend Im off to see them again for the eguene celebration.

Get this record!!!! it is a must have for and fan of rock n roll. My fav song would proally have to be the anthem.
