5.0 out of 5 stars Two Flutes...Amazing!
I picked this up on a business trip; I haven't been able to put it down. I've spent my life looking at the journey of a gay man. This book is amazing. My partner and I have practiced some of the healing techniques from this book, and they work! I have reconnected to the "gay" ancestors because of this book. The amazing thing is, while the author was writing this book,...

2.0 out of 5 stars Great idea--Disappointing prose
I loved reading the description. I should have selected the Try a Sample option before buying. The authors' writing is repetitious and their metaphors are obvious and, at times, sappy. I truly appreciate the idea of the book but could not get past the style of writing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Two Flutes...Amazing!, September 16, 2005
This review is from: Two Flutes Playing: A Spiritual Journeybook for Gay Men (Paperback)
I picked this up on a business trip; I haven't been able to put it down. I've spent my life looking at the journey of a gay man. This book is amazing. My partner and I have practiced some of the healing techniques from this book, and they work! I have reconnected to the "gay" ancestors because of this book. The amazing thing is, while the author was writing this book, many of us were receiving the same message. Men Loving Men have something vital to give to humankind, and it's time we start living like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A "MUST HAVE" FOR MALE INTIMACY, June 12, 2001

This review is from: Two Flutes Playing: A Spiritual Journeybook for Gay Men (Paperback)
I was recommended this book after having taken a Body Electric workshop a few weeks before. From the first page I began to re-live the entire bonding rituals that we had experienced over that weekend. How to connect, how to communicate, and how to intimately bond on a higher plane! Although some of the prose is repetitive, it helps instill a spiritual base on which the reader can pull from. A definite "must have" book for the gay tribe who would like to interact spiritually and emotionally!

5.0 out of 5 stars Insightful and Deeply Moving, September 4, 2000
This review is from: Two Flutes Playing: A Spiritual Journeybook for Gay Men (Paperback)
Tonight, my partner and I read sections of Andrew Ramer's Two Flute Playing together. It was a moving experience for both of us to read a loud to ourselves, a chapter tittle A Ritual for Male Lovers. This chapters, like other chapters of this book, gives very poetic as well as practical ways of understanding, experiencing, and living a life of Gay Love.

2.0 out of 5 stars Uhhh......WHAT!?!?!, March 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This work just didn't do it for me. It's not a story. It's not a thesis. It's not a treatise. It MIGHT (stress MIGHT) have some purely crystal-gripping hippy poetic nonsense value for those that are into that sort of thing, but over-all it's like the rambling you'd expect to hear from some dried up old drag queen on an acid trip. Be sure to look inside before you buy.
