I picked this up on a business trip; I haven't been able to put it down. I've spent my life looking at the journey of a gay man. This book is amazing. My partner and I have practiced some of the healing techniques from this book, and they work! I have reconnected to the "gay" ancestors because of this book. The amazing thing is, while the author was writing this book, many of us were receiving the same message. Men Loving Men have something vital to give to humankind, and it's time we start living like it.

I was recommended this book after having taken a Body Electric workshop a few weeks before. From the first page I began to re-live the entire bonding rituals that we had experienced over that weekend. How to connect, how to communicate, and how to intimately bond on a higher plane! Although some of the prose is repetitive, it helps instill a spiritual base on which the reader can pull from. A definite "must have" book for the gay tribe who would like to interact spiritually and emotionally!

Tonight, my partner and I read sections of Andrew Ramer's Two Flute Playing together. It was a moving experience for both of us to read a loud to ourselves, a chapter tittle A Ritual for Male Lovers. This chapters, like other chapters of this book, gives very poetic as well as practical ways of understanding, experiencing, and living a life of Gay Love.

Absolutely perfect in every way. I have been searching, desperately, for a meaning to my life... for the meaning of why I am here, incarnate into a body that is both male and female. I have fought it, oh how I have fought it, even as I praised it.

I have looked everywhere for something, anything that could possibly make sense of my life and my experiences as a Mystic Warrior. The writings in this have been a huge stepping stone, and a sturdy-woven rope for me. I truly cannot express adequately in words what it means for me, a person who is so different, a man in an intersex body, to be able to place my Spirit somewhere, anywhere that it could fit. I could place myself back in time and could see myself being loved by these men, men like me in some ways... not in others. How wonderful would it be if all gay men could look past my form and see me as Who I Am.

I am gay too. My body does not matter in that distinction, and I will use this book to help myself to become stronger as a gay man, no matter my form. I am also a High Priest and shaman (goes with being a Mystic Warrior) so I will be using some of this information and Spirit when crafting a unique (relatively) Path to show others they can travel too.

So I thank you sincerely, Mr. Ramer for giving me pretty much all of the dignity that my life and certain others (people, religion) had taken from me. You have not only given me my life back, you have saved it.

- C.S. Couch D.D., aka "Michael Wise Eagle"

I loved reading the description. I should have selected the Try a Sample option before buying. The authors' writing is repetitious and their metaphors are obvious and, at times, sappy. I truly appreciate the idea of the book but could not get past the style of writing.

This work just didn't do it for me. It's not a story. It's not a thesis. It's not a treatise. It MIGHT (stress MIGHT) have some purely crystal-gripping hippy poetic nonsense value for those that are into that sort of thing, but over-all it's like the rambling you'd expect to hear from some dried up old drag queen on an acid trip. Be sure to look inside before you buy.
