I have worn out 3 copies of this on cassette (factory, not dub). It's amazing.

However, for any collectors out there, *PLEASE* do your homework. First of all, it's a 2-CD set -- most of them for sale online are one disk or the other, almost never both -- ask before you buy.

Also, if you're a hardcore, this Nelson album was released in more track orders than any other title. If the data's not messing me around, the CD alone was in four different orders, with slight differences in selection.

Oh, yeah: buy it. Nelson says it's mostly "rough sketches" of pop tunes, but the fact is that half of them are catchy & (like Atom Shop) stunning in their roughness... which, frankly, I don't think anyone but Nelson will ever notice. By turns, they're complex, moody, funny, danceable, & fun to play at top volume while cruising the mountains.
