I heard "Red Rubber Ball" by the Cyrkle today As I was driving to work. I was thinking about what a great little pop record it was and how they had one other nugget in "Turn Down Day", but then no other hits. That got me started thinking about other "two hit wonders". The Foundations (Baby, Now That I Found You and Build Me Up Buttercup), The McCoys (Hang on Sloopy and Fever), The Left Banke (Pretty Ballerina and Walk Away Renee), The Brothers Johnson (Strawberry Letter 23 and I'll Be Good to You) and Boyce and Hart (I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight and Goodbye Baby) immediately came to mind. I know all these acts probably had other minor hits in parts of the country, but they are best known for these tunes, the ones you're most likely to catch on classic or oldies rock radio. Can you think of any others?
