Book Description

May 1, 2000
All the knowledge that is taught in our schools, colleges and universities has been gained through our five senses. It is what we call "Sense Knowledge". Man has never been able to know God through the five senses of his physical body. Sense Knowledge cannot give us the Reason for Creation, the source of Light, of Life, of Motion, of Gravitation, has been unable to explain the obvious design of Creation. When man reaches the limits of this Sense Knowledge, he turns philosopher or guesser. Natural man cannot understand spiritual things. Sense Knowledge cannot find God, can never know Him, but there stands by the side of everyone a Guide to lead him into the new kind of knowledge, the new kind of life. This book shows the contrast between Sense Knowledge and The Revelation Knowledge which we receive only from the Word of God. Sense Knowledge faith is in what man is, and can do, and has done. Revelation faith is in the Word of God, "That liveth and abideth forever."

About the Author

Dr. E. W. Kenyon (1867-1948) was born in Saratoga County, New York. At age nineteen, he preached his first sermon. He pastored several churches in New England and founded the Bethel Bible Institute in Spencer, Massachusetts. (The school later became the Providence Bible Institute when it was relocated to Providence, Rhode Island.) Kenyon served as an evangelist for over twenty years. In 1931, he became a pioneer in Christian radio on the Pacific Coast with his show Kenyon's Church of the Air, where he earned the moniker "The Faith Builder." He also began the New Covenant Baptist Church in Seattle, Washington. In addition to his pastoral and radio ministries, Kenyon wrote extensively.

5.0 out of 5 stars OUTSTANDING, July 12, 2000

I have read almost ALL of the available books by Kenyon and am facinated how the truths of the bible come to life through his teaching. Kenyon expounds on a theme common in most his writing that the world gains knowledge through the five senses while spiritual knowledge must come through our spirit. We cannot know God through our physical senses but as we recieve revelation of God's Word we gain insight through our spirit. (1 Cor 1:19-22 KJV) For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. {20} Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? {21} For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. {22} For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

Godly understanding and Godly wisdom must come from God. Read this book. God Bless

5.0 out of 5 stars An awesome revelation, February 21, 2002

The book explains how the knowledge we have comes from our 5 senses; sight, smell, hearing, tasting, touching. These are things we "know". We aquire the things we know (knowldedge) thorugh our human experiences. God's knowledge however comes to us from His Word (the Bible) and He asks us to live by that "Godly/revelation" knowledge, not simply our experiences. "For we walk by faith and not by sight". This book is awesome, it will change your life and your relationship with God. It truly is an awesome revelation about revelation of God's knowledge. God Bless.
