These are two wonderful lectures by Simondon for undergraduates aiming to get their degree in philosophy, psychology, or sociology. Not sure of the exact date of delivery, but the intro indicates that he taught this particular class until 1967. The lectures themselves examine in a generally chronological order pre-Socratic to post-Cartesian thinkers on the difference between Man and Animal. It's a fascinating read that traces the history of Western thought on human identity. Not too difficult a text, highly recommended.

A searching and provocative alert to the fact that modernity is over in spite of evidence to the contrary.
