I ordered this Two Little Sounds CD for our 5 year old at the same time I bought Hap Palmer's Early Childhood Classics for our 2 year old. Each one is perfect for their ages. Our 5 year old loves this CD and has enjoyed learning all the fun, fast paced and catchy songs. The lyrics have an educational component and stimulate thinking by introducing new vocabulary words, simple math problems and reading. After listening to a song, our 5 year old will catch another word, phrase or thought that she doesn't understand and will ask questions about it. She has had a really good time listening to the rhyming words/phrases and finds many of them hilarious. My husband and I enjoy the songs as much as she does and appreciate that the CD represents different genres of music which makes it even more entertaining for us. Our 5 year old's favorite song is "The English Language Gets a Little Kooky." Even our 2 year old has a favorite on the CD and can repeat a few phrases from "Ten Monkeys in a Tree." My husband and I like "Down By the Bay." We like all the songs on this CD and our 5 year old has learned many new words and concepts while listening to the lyrics.

We bought this cd to get the "Wiggy Wiggle Freeze Dance" (which is great) and have grown to love many of the other songs. Ten Little Monkeys and Apples and Bananas are great. Good for riding in the car, dancing around or even before bedtime. The music only versions are a neat addition to see if your little one really knows the words!

I became acquainted with Hap Palmer when I taught Pre-school many years ago. I am a grandmother now, and ordered several of the CD's. I love them all! When the grandchildren visit we sing and dance, creating the best memories. Little do they know, that they are learning while we are having so much fun!

When our daughter was going through speech development at 2 years old, I found this CD at the local learning center. She instantly took to "10 little monkeys" and it has been a huge part of our last year in development. As adults we have learned from the songs, I never had thought about all the letter combinations there are to make the "oo" sound! The songs are so catchy that you find yourself singing them as part of your day. We even think/sing about the songs when we say goodbye to someone and they say, "toodle-oo," or "see ya later!" Her favorite has become, "oh ya!" This CD is a must on a trip, as there are movement songs, numbers, counting, clothing, animals, rhyming, and it just makes everyone happy. It also has a wide variety of music types so you don't feel like you're just listening to kids music. We love the way Mr. Palmer was able to take an old nursery rhyme and add to it, and it has helped at bedtime when our daughter is too excited to sleep, we sing, "Dickery dock". Daddy can quite her down with "TOO MUCH NOISE", then she finishs the song gets to be the mouse all on her own; she contentedly knows that the silly time is over and it's time to go to sleep.
