Two Moons--A book with symbolism to blow your mind,
By A Customer
This review is from: Two Moons Hb (Hardcover)
Two Moons is an excellent novel. Its use of symbolism throughout the novel is amazing. The book has a strong theme of guilt between all the characters and also has a small focus on old age and the preparation of death. It is a good read, not a long read and very poetic and a fantastic ending.

This review is from: Two Moons (Paperback)
Imaginative tale of three generations of Irish women, and their men. However, my favorite of Johnston's books still remains "the Illusionist."

Soylent Dick Says: An Inspiration, even though nothing happens!!!!,
This review is from: Two Moons (Paperback)
You might ask: how could I describe it as an inspiration whilst only giving it one star? The answer is simple: I thought that if someone could write a drab, uneventful book such as this, and get it published, surely I could do the same - hopefully with a better story. Some years ago I had to review this book for some further study I was undertaking. I cannot remember what I told the group about it. But I wish I had stuck to my first impressions: "In this book, nothing happens." |
