A fine product. Both signaling devices work perfectly, and there are two sound settings on the receiver. I use the loud siren setting, and indeed when it's activated you can hear it in Borneo. A convenient tether for the patient to wear around his or her neck. Nice to have two signal devices.

I've purchased 4 of these sets at this point. When they work -- they are great. The battery holder is very thin metal and after a time, the contacts are no longer stable. Unfortuntely you don't know they don't work unless you test them frequently. For some reason, they also quit working occasionally - then start again the next morning. So - if you don't depend on them totally - and test often - they are wonderful.

My husband is on oxygen 24 hours a day. He uses a portable unit when he goes outside. We had a couple occasions where his unit ran out of oxygen. He had the paging pendant around his neck and was able to alert me that he needed assistance. I would highly recommend this product. It definitely has served the purpose of what we needed it for.

I ordered this for my spa - for clients to page the front desk from their treatment rooms when they need assistance.
It works great! Only drawback is that it doesn't have a volume button to lower the page - but we got around that by putting a piece of tape on the speaker to lower the volume. Or you could also put it in a drawer so it's not quite so loud. But this has worked out great - I highly recommend it and would buy again.

Constant false alarms even with the replacement. To the company's credit, they replaced the item without question but the problem was not solved. You can get a cheaper and more reliable portable door bell solution at Menards or Home Depot. Pass on this..

i bought this to help with taking care of my father. yelling from room to room became annoying to all of us. now dad can push the button and someone can respond without any aggravation. it has served my purpose quite well. i would prefer the two settings to be ding dong and vibrate rather than ding dong and alarm but otherwise it is a useful product.

I recently purchased the Pendant Alert Paging system for my parents. I was always worried about my elderly parents not being able to get help when needed. My mom has Parkinsons and tends to fall a lot, and my father is a diabetic and sometimes is blood sugar drops. Knowing that they can alert each other for help makes me feel much better. Great product. Two Pendant Alert Paging System

This is just what we need!Occasionally, my wife falls and needs help getting up. However, if I am in the basement or garage, I am not going to hear her. Now, by pushing a button that is hanging around her neck, she is able to let me know that she needs help. When she presses the button, the receiver, which I carry with me, gives off either a really loud doorbell chime or a continuous alarm. It would be really hard to miss these sounds! This works great for us, since we really don't need to have anyone else paged. It is not connected to a service, so there is no monthly fee. It is battery operated, so we can carry the button and receiver with us and there is no need to plug any of it in. This is pretty simple system that works well for our needs.

A Good Idea But Poor Attention to Vital Details,

I bought this last week so my wife, who has a broken ankle, could summon me from upstairs where I work.Initially we were very pleased with the pager system. It's quite complete down to having mounting screws and adhesive tape should you want a permanent mount for the call buttons. The "ding dong" tone is quite loud enough for me to hear and I'm hearing impaired. The "alarm" call will wake the dead. The unit demonstrated enough range to cover our entire two story 2500 sq ft home. We put one transmitter button by my wife's side of the bed and adhesive mounted the other to her walker. Within two days problems arose. The receiver belt clip is very poorly done and will not hold. When the receiver falls to the floor the battery compartment lid flys off and the two batteries scatter. After the third or fourth fall, the connectors to the batteries started coming loose. Yesterday the transmitter by my wife's bed stopped functioning reliably. Now, the button has to be pressed just so in just the right spot, off to one side or it won't transmit. The red light that's supposed to indicate successful transmission will light even though no transmission occurred. When she wakes up and needs me to come help her up so she can take care of business, she doesn't have her glasses on so finding the right spot on the transmitter button to press isn't in the cards. She's reduced to yelling and hoping I hear her. We've put the more reliable button from the walker by her bed and we test both both buttons daily. Tomorrow I'm contacting the manufacturer. I've also bought a pocket camera case to hold the receiver in the hope of prolonging its life. All in all, this product is a very good idea spoiled to a large extent by failure to attend to the details. |
