When I received this DVD in the mail, I found strange packaging. Turns out that this is a Portuguese version. So the packaging and the DVD menus are in Portuguese. HOWEVER, the content of the DVD is in English and matches the original video release from a few years ago. Yes, this will play on American DVD machines.

The 4 stars is because of the Portuguese (I had to think a bit to translate "legendas sim" to "subtitles yes").

The quality is not DVD-caliber quality either, but that's because this is niche material. However, it is comparable to a good video.

Elton, as ever, rocks. :)

the performance of elton was wonderful.i loved every minute of it.and bernie taupin was also amazing.his lyrics are so real and touching.and when elton sings he gives me chills.his voice is better than i ever heard before.he has been my idol for many years now and i would do anything to meet him and to here him sing.i also think his video was very touching.i liked the video because he's honest and not afraid to tell his life story.

I was so impressed when I got this video! It showed old footage of Elton John in his younger days, before his voice got shot after performing. You could notice his talent and his close relationship with Bernie Taupin. I truly recommend this video for any fans.

I liked this video because it tells why Bernie wrote his songs and the message behind them. It also has good preformers playing his sons but, he is still in a lot of the video. Any good fan must have it.

This is a fine documentary chronicling the careers of the great songwriting team of Elton John and Bernie Taupin. There is much to enjoy in the short span of 90 minutes; from old, rarely seen footage of Elton performing some of his early hits to musical accolades sung and spoken by his friends and peers in popular music, ranging from Neil Young to Eric Clapton, Tina Turner, Phil Collins and Sting. And we see some thoughtful commentary by Elton John and Bernie Taupin regarding how they've written songs and why their partnership has lasted so long. Without a doubt, it is essential viewing for Elton John fans and also for those who wonder why Elton remains popular to this very day. I found watching it much more rewarding than listening to the companion "Two Rooms" CD.

This is a delightful, informative, behind-the-scenes peak at the composer and lyricist team of Elton John and Bernie Taupin. Chronicles their individual and collective careers, and includes interviews of each person. I especially enjoyed their explanations of how they go about writing songs. BUY IT!

Two Rooms, is the only 'publicaiton' I have witnessed,that portrays a little insight to the morons in the world of what R.D. and B.T. REALLY stand for... " Goodby Yellow Brick Road " is the greatest 'album' in the hisory of music... You guys Know it...

this video realy show the work the being done seperatly and the application of others artist who tell their opinion about some songs i have only the vhs format but looking forward to replace it with the dvd format....
