Undiscovered Gem, August 1, 2004

About 15 years ago I was camping in the Northeast Kindom of Vermont and Charlie was being played by a exotic sounding female DJ out of Montreal. I was blown away and managed to capture part of the song on my portable cassette recorder. This began a search for this CD that after many months ended in a Cambridge Mass. small record store whose name I don't recall. Charlie is an innovator in the early days of Jamacan Roots/Dancehall/Rap crossover reggae. An excellent full of fun jam recorded live in front of a small group of fans. Unbelievable we never heard more from Charlie who in my opinion has a voice as distintive as Bob the "King of Reggae" Marley .
