Best album of 1999 - a true "keeper",
By A Customer
This review is from: Two Teardrops (Audio CD)
Since I am a big Steve Wariner fan I had to have this CD, and again, I am thrilled. This is Steve Wariner at his best. Great vocal arrangements - wonderful lyrics. One of those rare CD's where absolutely every song is worth listening to. I can play it for hours without getting tired of it. His guitar play is fantastic and really noticable on this CD. For everyone that loves romance - a must have CD! Put it on your Christmas wish list if you haven't bought it already. My favorite song: Tatoos of live.

Worth the album for one song,
By A Customer
This review is from: Two Teardrops (Audio CD)
Although a little disappointed by Steve's last album (except the angelic Holes In the Floor of Heaven), I listened to this in the store before I decided if I was to buy it. I was blown away by the gorgeous 'I'm Already Taken'. I even took the CD around to my Mum, and she was crying! The CD is worth it for that one song, but don't miss out on 'If You Don't Know By Now' and 'I'll Always Have Denver', another two poignant ballads. Although the title track is a little too much for me, overall this album is worth buying.

"Album of the Year" should-have-been,
By Margaret (Putnam, CT USA) - See all my reviews

This album was nominated for CMA album of the year and must have come in second with the votes. I'm sure this album will continue to be strong and well-loved for years to come. Come on, Steve wrote all but one song! What an accomplishment! Don't miss this one. You'll love it--I know I do.

His Best Album Since The 80's,
By Mark (San Francisco, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Two Teardrops (Audio CD)
Having Been a fan of "older" Steve Wariner songs such as "Kansas City Lights", "Lonely Women Make Good Lovers", "Your Memory" and "By Now" from several years ago, I didn't quite care for Steve much in the 90's with the exceptions of certain songs such as "Drivin' And Cryin" and "It Won't Be Over You". But with this album that I took a chance on buying for the hit single "Two Teardrops", hoping that it wouldn't be the only good song on the album. Was I glad I got it! The title track only hinted at the catchy songs on this album. This has got to be the best album of Steve's career. I was really impressed with so many good songs and only a few throwaways. The other catchy tunes here are "Hands Of Time", "You Be My Everything", "I've Been In That Movie", "Talk To Her Heart", "So Much", "That's The Love For You", "Cry No More", "Since You Walked Away" and "For The First Time". As You can see this is a very good CD and worth the money. Hopefully radio will be willing to play these hits. Steve must be one of the most talented guys in Nashville as he is the "Eddie Van Halen" of Country music with his guitar playing, he can write hit songs and he can sing with the best of them. You won't see Steve disappearing anytime soon.

A must have CD !!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Two Teardrops (Audio CD)
Two Teardrops is by far one of the greatest Steve Wariner CD's to date. Steve has always made excellent music but has always been overlooked, he finaly after 20 years is begining to recieve some of the much needed attention that he greatly deserves. If you are a fan of Steves great talent then this CD is defitnitly for you ,if your not a fan and you are just looking for some great music then this CD is for you too.It is rare that you find a CD from anyone that contains 15 songs which are all great, but with Two Teardrops you will find that plus more. This is a CD that you will never get tired of listening to,it will be a true classic. And Two Teardrops will soon become one of your favorite CD's,once you start listening you just can't stop.If you buy only one CD then this is the one that you HAVE to have.I recomend it to everyone you won't be disapointed!!

Great country CD,

I bought this CD while I was in the USA, and I listen to it all the time. It is a good country CD, that I am going to enjoy for a long time. I had never heard about neither Steve Wariner or most of the other american country artists, but now I know what kind of music I need to buy!

Two Teardrops . . . . Five Stars,
By Chuck S. (New Jersey) - See all my reviews

I am an avid Steve Wariner fan, but even if I weren't, in my opinion this IS the country music album of 1999. How is it possible to follow-up a smash hit like "Holes In the Floor of Heaven"? Multi-talented Steve has answered that question with this great CD. The record is well balanced between upbeat rockers, slower ballads, throw in a couple of mid-tempo numbers and "The Harry Shuffle", an instrumental done a la Chet Atkins. Steve teams up with Bryan White on "Talk To Her Heart" and Steve's son Ryan makes his debut by playing guitar on "So Much". Look for two songs co-written by Steve & Marcus Hummon ("So Much" and "Cry No More"), who I feel is one of today's top songwriters. And the title track, written by Steve & Bill Anderson, shows Steve's songwriting skills at their best. No matter what your taste in country music is, you can't go wrong with this CD. A must have.

The most underated country star in the business...,
By Louis E. Patrie (Gilbert, AZ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Two Teardrops (Audio CD)
Steve Wariner is the most underated and under appreciated star in country music today. He has been making consistently great music for more than 20 years now. I have every album he has ever made and my favorites are Two Teardrops, I Am Ready and Drive. He is a phenomenal guitar player (he used to be a studio musician) and a great singer (even though he says he's not a great singer). I am a singer and I love to sing his music. No wonder Bryan White mentored with Steve. You can keep Alan Jackson, George Strait, Kenny Chesney and the rest of those hokey wanna-be's. Steve Wariner is the real thing. He is the best country has to offer!

A sensitive work...,
By A Customer
This review is from: Two Teardrops (Audio CD)
Without a doubt one of the most solid country albums I've purchased in the last few years. Wariner's strong balladry is evocative and beautiful. A sensitive work from one of Country's best male voices on the scene today. Highly recommended!
