The Affordable "Rock My Religion",
By deartheo "dear_theo" (NY,NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Two-Way Mirror Power: Selected Writings by Dan Graham on His Art (Paperback)
Nota bene: this review and rating are meant to counterbalance the only other review that exists at the moment for/of this collection; I was spurred to action by the other reviewer wrongly stating that the texts collected in "Two Way Mirror Power" are authored by Dan Flavin, thus a review erroneous from the get-go, and secondly, Dan Graham is one of the great artist-writers of the 20th century, and this collection cannot be left with a rating of three stars.
Moving on, if you are looking for a comprehensive, affordable, and well considered collection of writings by artist/writer/producer Dan Graham this is most likely the best publication for you (as, sadly, "Rock My Religion" is O.O.P.). In addition to Graham's texts, which span a sizeable portion of his career, insightful essays by Alexander Alberro and Jeff Wall are also included.
