I have just started reading Eric Hiscock's books. This is the second of his I'm reading as most are out of print it seems. I envy him as he lived in a better time than we do now. A slower time, a less crowded time. He and his wife Susan had a good life of travel and in their books, they document these travels. This book was written in the early 80's and i assume probably his last?! I dunno, but it's good and in the same vein as books by Hal Roth (my favourite) and Lin and Larry Pardey (also right up there).
