A Different Look,

I found this novel while shifting through volumes of books on the peace corps in my college library. While I was skeptical at first, this novel proved to be a real joy to read.The author was a volunteer in Nepal a while back and gives a fresh perspective to not only the village and job he had placed before him, but also his life and attitudes and how they changed. Nothing is sugar-coated in this book. Phil, the author, keeps it straight and real while maintaining enough direction to keep the reader interested. I would recommend anyone who is considering joining the peace corps, as I was, read this factual and human account of two years in Nepal. |
