This is a contemporary romance, a mystery, a quirky tale of life and the things people do for love, erotic but character driven. It is for 18+ only and contains explicit sex in the love scenes. Romance for men and for women in this story told about the brothers and their love lives.

Two brothers alike in a crucial way and not alike at all in others, both looking for love. Named after characters in one of their grandfather’s gritty spy novels, Jet and Falcon wonder if their often absent father is a spy.
Kind hearted Jet feels trapped in a job he doesn’t like.
Dynamic, creative Falcon loves his work.

Jet longs for something different in his life. When he meets Emma, he thinks that after their night of delightful lovemaking he has found it. He longs to see her after that night. Does she feel the same?

Jet begins to change his life, but it’s worrying and time consuming. His luck is about to change when Annabel kisses him in the local pub garden. Her sexual advances at first shock Jet until he lets himself relax into her passionate ways.

Jet has inherited a cottage from his grandfather, and as he clears out the garden shed what he finds there turns his ideas about his own family upside down.
Jet along with his brother Falcon decide to find out the secrets that have been hidden from them. Was their father a spy after all?
As Jet and Falcon start to unravel the secret life of their father, they realize that love is more important to them than they could have imagined, and Falcon finds what he wants.

5.0 out of 5 stars A contemporary romance with a twist September 29, 2012
By Jane 72
Format:Kindle Edition
"Two of Them" is a beautifully written adult contemporary romance about two brothers who are looking for love. It's also a mystery, since the brothers discover a family secret that leaves them shaken to the core. Was their father a spy? And what does this mean for them?

Jet doesn't do romance, but his world is turned upside-down when he meets Emma. A night of passion awakens a deeply sensual side of him that has been hidden.

The more creative Falcon is a man who always gets what he wants... until he meets his match.

Parkes has a real gift for writing heartbreakingly real scenes and complex characters whom you grow to care about deeply.

There are surprising twists amidst the conflict, passion and secrets. How can you go wrong with a sexy and suspenseful story from this talented author? Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Steamy scenes -wanting more December 5, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This story was told alternately from third person and from the brothers POV sort of. It was a unique story and I felt that it was building to climax to this great secret and there is a great secret but it left me wanting to know more (which I suppose is a good thing!). Lots of lust and steamy explicit (not kidding there!) scenes. It seemed that Emma would have come back somehow and I wondered how she would fit -- but she never did. Not sure if there is a book 2 but I would love to see it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Tale of Sex and Mistaken Identities December 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Two of Them" is a tale of twin brothers Jet and Falcon who in their journey to find love also uncover deep, dark secrets of their own family.

"Two of Them" is an enticing adult tale of sex and lies that would have you engrossed till the very end. It's one of those short tales that you would love to take to bed for an easy and lazy read. A must for those who love a sexy bedtime story. Parkes certainly perks it up with a twist and will have you wanting for more by the end of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Such a well crafted story March 11, 2013

As this is a romantic story i dont think i would be spoiling anything for anyone if i mentioned there is a fair bit of sex in it. But i feel it is important to highlight what i thought the writer was doing with it and why it makes it different. the sex does not define this story; the story defines the sex. at least this is what i got from it. the characters in the story are twins and they act as the lynchpin where everything revolves around them. with sexual partners where there is little or no real connection, those women couldnt tell them apart. but when there is a real connection they can tell. i think what the writer was doing here was to talk about a deeper side to a relationship than mere physical.
i thought she carried the whole message very well throughout the story and it lent the story much ,more meaning than an ordinary romantic tale or even an ordinary erotic tale. it was very clever and i hope more people think about what she was trying to say when they read this.

5.0 out of 5 stars A romance with more than a few twists & turns February 5, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This was my first book from Elodie Parkes and it won't be my last.

While it takes a bit to adjust to the UK style and nuances, Elodie creates two compelling characters - twin brothers Jet and Falcon - named after the characters in their grandfather's spy novels. (Loved that!)

They are mid-twenties, looking for love in all the wrong girls and find it when they both stop looking!

But the Two of Them is more than a romance - it's a story of family secrets (two stunners!) the lost being found, a trip to Australia to find the truth, and a few surprises while they are on the other side of the world.

This is a book that I started and read in one sitting - because while not perfect - it rated 5 stars because it kept me turning pages...and that's what a novel should do!

I can never connect with British authors, I don't read the author page before I purchase.
It's like the characters are disjointed.
And all the sex scenes are exactly the same, how boring?

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Story! March 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This is the second book I have read by this author and it certainly didn't disappoint. Romance and erotica aren't generally the first categories I tend to turn to when I go for a book to read but I will give anything a shot and having read another by this author, I had a good feeling that this one would be well worth the read as well, and it was! It will most certainly satisfy those looking for the romance/erotica in a book, but it also has a great storyline and plot to go with it. One thing that I really find myself liking the most about this author is that her writing really has a lot of emotion behind it and that emotion comes through beautifully on the pages. Her stories aren't just fluff with no substance, they are filled with emotion, and I love that!

The author has a way with words and this book manages to tell a story that takes many twists and turns taking the reader on an adventure filled with mystery, romance, conflict, secrets, and so much more. I don't want to give away the story (you have to read it for yourself to find out what happens) but I will say that it has twin brothers , mistaken identities, Australia trips, and a lot of sexual encounters (plus so much more that I'm just not going to tell you about no matter what)!

This book didn't take very long to read and it was well worth what time it did take. I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future.

More About the Author

Elodie lives in Canterbury, United Kingdom. It's famous for the Cathedral, Chaucer, and there is a UNESCO world heritage site, which includes the ancient ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church. There is also a ruined castle. It's a pretty place too and the coast nearby is great.
She works in an antiques shop and writes. Elodie has two dogs that keep her fit with their need for walks.
Elodie writes romance, contemporary and always erotic with a twist of mystery, paranormal, and suspense now and then. She likes to make the story unusual in some way, by a quirk in the tale
