This is a wonderful compilation of songs. I originally bought it because my favorite actor River Phoenix did a part in the song Curi Curi. I love hearing anything with River in it, but there is not much out. Anyhow, the enitre CD was wonderful, and my favorite songs were Curi Curi and Estorias de Floristas.

Milton Nasciemento has been honored by his country, Brazil, as poet laureate as well as an unforgettable musical treasure. While Milton can wander off into unusual musical musings, TXAI is Milton at his best. He composes and sings of Brazils rain forests, the indigenous people and their music and the preservation of the rain forest. This is a must if you love the beauty and free spirit of Brazilian music.

"Curi Curi" was the song written by River Phoenix. It also contained dialogue spoken by him. Pure genius by this wonderful person.
