just got this in the mail today, a lot sooner than i expected, so i am happy with the free ship.

the product description did not mention the size of the toy, so i took a chance and hoped that it would not be a tiny beanie baby toy.

lucky me, this stuffed animal is about 10" in height, and about 5" across the belly.

this little monkey is super-cute, and super-soft. it's "beanie-filled" on its feet and bottom.

since my little one loves to watch curious george, and fittingly, "mon-kee" is his first word, this toy is perfect!

Grandma purchased this monkey for my daughter on her 1st birthday. It was an instant favorite and she doesn't travel anywhere without it. I love when she has put it down somehwere and can't remember where it is. She'll walk around the house saying "Monkey...where aaaaare yoooouuu???" My daughter likes sucking on the tail so he does get rather nasty and smelly but luckily he washes really well and stays relatively soft. As monkey goes everywhere with us, I thought another one was a necessity. I accidentally got the large version of Dangles and when I pulled him out of the box and handed it to her, she stared at it, picked up the REAL monkey and walked off. (Did mommy think she could pull one over on me?? I think not!) So, since large monkey won't do, I'm buying the REAL monkey...just in case. I gave Dangles 5 stars cause I know how much she loves him and how happy and secure he makes her feel. Definitely worth 5 stars in my book!

Dangles is so soft, squishy and cuddly! We got this for our son when he was just a few months old. It quickly became his favorite snuggle toy. He is 1 year old now and MUST have his monkey to snuggle with in order to go to sleep. Unfortunately he likes to suck on his tail and it can get quite yucky. Fortunatley Dangles washes very well! I put him in the washer in the handwash cycle and then tumble him dry for about 90 minutes on fluff/no heat in the dryer and he is ready to go in time for the next nap! Although he is not as perfectly soft and fluffy as he was when we got him, what do you expect from a toy that can be washed in the washing machine and is constantly dragged around! I rated Dangles as 3 stars for educational value. You might not think a stuffed toy can be educational, but we think he is! When we ask our son where the monkey's eyes, mouth, nose and ears are, he points right to them. He gets his hands and feet mixed up, but he'll figure it out soon! We purchased an extra Dangles for Nana's house to avoid the crisis of forgetting to bring him along.

The monkey is very cute and my little boy loves him. However, when I received the monkey, I noticed it has button eyes contrary to the advertised description.

After comparing my granddaughter's Ty monkey to the one on the website, I thought it was the same. Well, she hates it! It is not the same, totally different fabric, like a slick polyester, not the soft cotton out side, and the inside is different and the eyes are buttons, not sewn on!!!! Darn,This monkey pictured is the same in all the Amazon sites for this!!But it's not the same !! I'm bummed, Joni

My sone who is now 2 1/2 yrs old claimed this as his favorite early. He now sleeps, cuddles, flicks/rubs the monkey tail on his nose when he's tired and takes him everywhere! The best toy he's had. For as much as Dunky goes, he has held up incredibly well! We also wash him about every 2-3 weeks in the machine (no drier) due to the large amount of use. My daughter who is 10 mos, is now taking a liking to the monkey too, so we are going to get her one in pink for her b-day.

Not much say. Ty is a good brand. The litlle monkey is cute and soft.
This push toy can be given to newborn which is not the case for the vast majority of them which only good the 3 years old.

He really is adorable. Very soft. I call my little girl a monkey so people get us monkeys all the time. I really like this one. He stays in her crib with her and is always in a different place when I go in to get her. I would recommend him!

This is my son's favorite friend. I am so glad I found another one on Amazon because after more than a year of wear and tear by a very active toddler I needed a new one. The first one held up well though...many cycles through the washing machine. My younger daughter keeps trying to take my son's so I got her a pink one. Not sure what it is about this little guy...but he sure is a hit with kids. Thanks Amazon for stocking these!

My daughter cannot get enough plush monkey toys. She is only 6 months old, but they are defintely her favorite (mine too).

They actually make a pink and blue version of Dangles though we have the traditional one.

He is VERY soft, and larger than the regular beanie babies. There are no sharp or rough edges and I feel completely comfortable letting my little one play with him.

I only gave 4 stars for the educational value, only because he is a standard plush toy with no "extras" (like the shining stars which let you register a star on the Internation Star Registry). He also received 4 stars for durability, only because there are a few little strings coming undone, though this will not be a major problem for a while. I have not washed him in the washing machine, but am glad the other poster pointed that out.

All in all, this little guy is a GREAT value for the money, especially with the free shipping incentive. I will buy another one when this one wears out which I don't think will happen any time soon.
