My son has loved "Hippo" practically since birth. Hippo was propped up on the side of his crib, and he used to giggle and kick whenever he would look at Hippo, even before he used to giggle at Mommy. Now he's a toddler and he still loves Hippo. He carries him around and sleeps with him.

We bought him lots of stuffed animals but Hippo has been his favorite from the get-go.

My daughter has had two of these hippos. She has loved them both. The smile fell off the first one (i.e., string got snagged and we had to cut it off), but that didn't effect her. She then lost it. We purchased another one and the same thing happened with the stitching in the smile, but she still loves it. Overall a really cute stuffed animal. (one of her favorites - she's now 3yrs. old)

This hippo has become my child's absolute #1 stuffed animal. I love it because it is machine washable. My child sleeps with this hippo every single day and carries him around so it's important that I can wash it. It's soft and durable.

I got this little guy for a gift and the recipient really liked it. It was very cute, cuddly, and soft. This was for an adult (Christmas joke - see the book, "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas"). The size seems like it would be good for a baby too - not too small and definitely grippable because it is very squishy.

Tubby is one of my favorite Ty Pluffies. For the most part, Pluffies have colors that are relatively close to their natural counterparts. Not Tubby! A light green Hippo with pink feet and ears, and nostrils so far apart? Kids will love this one, especially since Tubby has a big smile on his face. As with all Pluffies, machine washable!
