This is my first review on Amazon.com. But after getting this stuff toy, I just had to tell everyone how soft, adorable, and snuggable the bear is. It's really too cute that I feel like I want to just buy another one. The quality of the cloth used is sooooo soft and feels real nice. It does shed a bit on your clothes if you hug it too long, but I think its cuteness is all that matters.

When our son was almost born, our daughter and I went out to buy him a teddy bear. I thought we'd hit a big box kids retail outlet and have our choice of some plain old bears - no big sad eyes, no schmancy crap, just a nice bear, black or brown. No luck. Three departments stores in the mall across the street. No luck. Elsewhere I've seen high-end stuffed animals, but this thing's going to be thrown around, fought over, urped on. Three figures for a stuffed animal just seems ridiculous. Daughter has a platypus made by this company, so we headed home empty-handed and logged on Amazon to look for bears made by the same company. It's soft and fuzzy, lightweight and scrunchable and about the right size for a baby.

It still has old-school eyes -- plastic things sewn or tied on, rather than eyes made entirely of embroidery -- so we're *still* in the market for just the right item. If not for that, I'd give it five stars and gift them to all our breeding friends.
