A Winner all around!,

I'll tell you - I was a bit surprised by reading some other reviews. One said there wasn't enough in the box. I think they all said the flavor was "mild". Maybe there is a standard "strength" for satay, but I thought this one was first rate!
Let's start with the packaging. First, forget about having to add water to cook the noodles, etc. The noodles come pre-cooked in a vacuum pouch, with no need to add water! This is perfect to keep at work - open the pouch, put the noodles in the box. Pour the peanut sauce over the noodles (from another pouch), close up the box, and microwave for three minutes. Stir well and it's done! I've had some "mix and serve" meals where the quantity of sauce or other flavoring is too small. Not here - I think they've put just the right amount of sauce in the pouch. If you like a little less, just don't add it. The flavor may be mild compared to other peanut satay meals. I think they've done a great job. I despise boring food of all kinds - I probably have more spices in my cupboard than most people. But I'm also not super fond of extra-spicy dishes. These noodles seem to fit me perfectly - plenty of flavor without killing your taste buds. What about the quantity of food? One box is listed as two servings at 310 calories each. Well, I'm a large guy at over 250 pounds so you gotta figure I can put away a good meal, and I think this box is too big for me for lunch. My personal rating on number of servings in the box: about 1.5 servings. If you wanted to feed a family of four for dinner, try putting out two of these boxes and a vegetable mix or salad. You might use three boxes if you have older kids. I love this almost-ready-to-eat meal. Five stars, wholeheartedly!

Another tasty item from Ty Ling- even my better-half really liked the Peanut Satay.
Easy to make, easy to eat, and reasonably priced.

The flavor is mild, but still good. The taste is a lot more natural and less greasy then a lot of these boxed noodle meals. The ingredients are simple and with no chemicals or things you can't pronounce. I enjoyed them.

I've been buying this product under the Trader Joe's label (Trader Ming's) and love it! This is their green box if you frequent that market. I add a small 3oz Swanson's chicken can (drained) to the package cook 2:15 and stir and feast. It's really good and there's plenty of sauce to coat all. Some of the other brands don't put in enough sauce to add a protein so this one does. It certainly makes a hearty portion, can be split easily if you include a soup or salad with it. If you're reading this before May 31 the current price with subscription and coupon is $1.69/box. That's a steal. Get it while you can, and even later if you want a tasty treat. Enjoy!

First wash your hands and physically separate the noodles this makes a big difference. Add a drained can of albacore tuna break it up with a fork, and add the sauce. Quite tasty.

In defense of this, maybe I got a bad box. I'd assume so since no one else has reported thoughts of suicide after one bite. I bought this to have as a quick lunch I could keep handy at work. The first time I made it, people were asking if I was microwaving a dog. Eating it didn't taste much better. I think I made it through three bites before I wanted to throw up, and ended up throwing it out. I am now banned from cooking it at work (which doesn't bother me one bit). I love Thai food, but this almost made me swear off Thai for life. I think I'll stick with the "A Taste of Thai" meals, since they have not yet offended my senses.

Love this product! Very easy to prepare. Noodles are precooked - all you do is open the package (I find it helps to break up the noodles while they are still in the sealed package), add the sauce and microwave for 2-3 minutes. I find the flavor very tasty and the sauce a rich consistency. This is the perfect serving size for one person, even though the nutrition information lists it for two. Can't be beat for ease of use - all you need is a microwave and you are set. Great for kids, college dorms or office lunches. Also tastes great with added chicken or beef but not necessary - delicious as is and everyone I know who has tried it orders some of their own right away. There's a reason this always sells out so quickly. Fans like me can't all be wrong.

Very disappointed in this. Not much complexity to the flavor at all. Just sweet peanut flavor. While I don't enjoy foods that are painful to eat, I do like some heat when it's called for. A good Peanut Satay sauce should have some heat to it and this truly had none. I added some pepper flakes and Hot Chile Oil and that helped a little, but not enough to make it a good sauce. I won't buy this again. Next time, I'll just wait for the Tiger Tiger Easy Snax Satay to be back in stock...that's a 5 star product.

Not bad, but not great. Peanut satay flavoring isn't very strong. Quick, easy and cheap meal.
Not enough for most to get full though.

My kids love noodle dishes so I thought we would give this one a try. It has a very, very mild flavor. If you add a little Szechuan sauce, crush a few peanuts and sprinkle on top and sprinkle some spring onions on the top, these are actually pretty good. We'll finish the rest of the packages (came in a package of six) but I don't think we'll purchase this flavor again. If you're looking for a mild flavor Peanut Satay product, you will really like this one.
