Cool Toy for kids over 10 and adults who like to play with toys!,

This is a VERY cool toy! I bought it for my 6 year old son and there is no way he's going to be able to use it until he's at least 10! I get to play with it until then!
Things to consider when buying this toy: Do I have the space to use it? This is definetly a parking lot toy. You need a lot of space to be able to let it go as fast as it can and still be able to maneuver it. You will not be playing with it Christmas morning unless you live somewhere warm with a big parking lot! How old is your child? This toy would be suitable for young teenagers. They market it to littler kids, but it is really best for kids over 10. This would also be a cool toy to buy your dad (or other male adult). I might give it to my dad and buy my son another easier to use model.

This is a great product almost too good. I purchased this for my son's 8th birthday and he finds it too fast and difficult to use. At first that was a bit disappointing but the good news is that it is a quality toy so I'm sure he will enjoy it more in the future.

I am not sure how many of these people wrote the review after the first couple of times they used it. WE used ours maybe 1o times and went through a couple battery charges befor it stopped working. WE were able to return it to the store that we purchased it at right before our 90 days was up. But keep in mind Amazon has only a 30 day return policy.
I would have given this a 5 star if it hadn't stopped working so soon. It is nice sized. Really fast. EAsy for one person to get started. STays balanced very nicely, even while turning. Bounces over short grass and little bumps very nicely. Does a good job on a wheelie. You need a lot of room for this. Will not work in your house unless you live in a mansion or are planning on driving it around in hallways in a large apartment. Would need an acre yard or so. or a street out of the way of traffic. Will run on gravel, but not as easily. Great concept, wished it hadn't broke. Ours would just stay running as soon as you hit the on button as if you had the remote cranked on for it to go. Battery charged easily and had good run time.

This came yesterday and we took it out of the box right away. This is definately an outdoor toy!, fast fast fast and fun. We live 3 doors down from one of New York city's many mini-parks so we unloaded this rider on the basketball court.
What a rush!! My kids and I had the best time. The Tyco wheelie cycle goes and goes and it really does do wheelies. I don't think I showed the kind of control that would make it do a 360, but who cares. I felt like a speed demon nonetheless. My six year old was able to crash this a few times and cycle kept going. I hope that bodes well for overall durability. I'll update after we take this out a few more times. I think it will be a long time before my six year old will do much more than crash tyco guy, so I am hopeful he can take it! I agree that an older kid would get the most out of this.. but as long as an adult is along for the ride, little kids will crack up with every crack up. Even the four year old was wowed! This is just a ton of fun. if you have a large driveway, or park or parking lot to run this in, I'd say go for it. There is, of course, no way this toy can be an inside toy.

I was really excited about getting the chance to review this because I was and still am a pretty big R/C fan (loved my TRAXXAS Stampede, probably my favorite R/C car!).
First impression, pretty awesome and much larger then I expected. Standing a good foot tall and 14" long, the R/C bike is well painted and detailed, it's even riding on Pirelli tires! The bike is built like a tank. Run this baby into a wall at full speed and there is barely a scratch on it. The antenna that is attached to the bike is well thought out because it has a swivel design, that way if it flips over or goes under a truck it just wont snap off. I've broken many antennas because of the lack of this sort of feature. However there are a lot of issues I have with this bike. First off the controls are a joke. Not once have I experienced such a lack of response and control from an R/C vehicle. I (a 24 year old) gave it all the chance in the world, but no go. And it's not like I'm inept or my motor skills are lacking... if you can control a 60+ mph R/C car, you should be able to control this thing, right? Second thing, IF you are able to get the bike to balance and go straight for longer then two seconds, you need a ton of space to drive this thing around. An empty parking lot would be just about right. Third thing, bumps, loose gravel, chip-sealed roads, or ANY other obstacle will cause the bike to loose control and crash. Even on low cut grass I wasn't able to get it to work. Forth thing, you need to "launch" it which gets old really quick. What you have to do to launch it is give it a slight push off each and every time. What they should have done was included a feature (like some flaps that fold out or something) that stabilizes the bike when stopped or at really low speeds. This would eliminate the need to launch it. And fifth and final thing, not once during the whole time I've had to play with it was I able to execute a wheelie with any degree of success. I wouldn't call myself an expect, but I've played with quite a few R/C vehicles and this one just does not stand up, even to some $50 cheapo vehicles. In the end, if you are thinking about buying this as a gift for your kid, grandchildren, or whoever, don't! Save your money and get a "real" R/C car or bike that actually works. They'll be happier and have a ton more fun. Pros: Built like a tank. Detailed. Comes with everything (batteries, charger, etc.) Cons: Steering/controls are a joke and don't work properly. Doesn't handle off-road at all, even short grass or hard packed dirt. The constant need to "launch" the bike gets old REALLY fast. You need a ton of space to drive this thing, even then it seems like it's not enough. Wheelie feature never worked for me. Price. For an item in this price category I'd expect it to work well without error. Made in China... need more US made toys! And to you Tyco RC, you have yet again disappointed me with the quality of R/C vehicle you make.

This is an incredible remote toy that my son received as a gift. We have had many remote cars and motorcycles over the years and most either never really work right or they fall apart quickly. This motorcycle is amazing fun for our whole cul-de-sac. All ages go crazy over it. It can drive right over a curb and not be affected. It will run through grass and over rocky terrain without stopping or falling over. It has even fallen sideways and recovered. The only problem is that my son ran it under a car and it got stuck. He continued to run it while it was stuck and stripped the wheel. It won't run anymore. He is buying himself a new one on Amazon because he loved the toy so much. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we've enjoyed ours.

We were surprised at the size of this bike when we got it. It's over a foot long and built very well.
The battery must be charged for at least five hours before using. When it was fully charged, we took it out onto our paved driveway to try out. You have to stand it up and hold on to it to help it take off, otherwise it falls to its side. As soon as it left the paved part of our driveway and hit the gravel, it flipped. After a dozen or so crashes (this bike is tough!), we took it down to an empty parking lot. It was fun, but it didn't take much to flip the bike, just a little crack in the pavement or a pebble. Even though it's frustrating to control, my eight year old son is thrilled with it and takes it out to play with the neighbor kids every chance he gets.

11 years old. Figured out controls in a minute. Took a while to keep from crashing, but much fun once done. Now I set up things for cycle to jump and crash into (soft things) Great cycle fun.

I thought this would be a nice toy for my young son and he was extremely pleased to get it.
I was also quite impressed since it turned out to a lot bigger than I had expected and even came with batteries (which I ALWAYS forget to buy beforehand) AND a charger! Sweet! After charging it up (which takes 5 hours to charge it the first time, less on following occasions) We set off to the nearby park to try it out. First off, you will need a LARGE space to use this toy, I'm talking about a space at least 2 basketball courts long and 2 courts deep so that the bike can reach a decent speed. Then you will need two people to actually get it to work; one to manage the handlebars and the other to actually "launch" the bike. (Of course, my son, who at 9 years old is much smarter than his father, has figured out how to do both things at the same time, using both hands and a foot) But the biggest obstacle we found was just how hard it was to actually control it. It took us quite a long time to actually learn how to maneuver the toy, and I still don't feel I can drive it with any confidence. My son, on the other hand, tries to practice as much as he can, and is now quite adept with it. It's also important to point out that the bike is also quite durable (ours has taking quite a beating but still works perfectly) Now, how much will you or your child enjoy this toy? It depends on how much frustration you/ they can handle. I can imagine the majority of kids will give up after a few minutes and head back to the safety of their nintendo DS... BUT! - if you have a child who enjoys a challenge and is willing to put in the effort then the memory of finally getting that first wheelie will probably stay with him forever! EDIT - 4 and a half stars for durability!

This looked like a very fun toy and I thought I would give it a try. I could never get the motorcycle to stay up very long. It seemed like every little rock or piece of dirt would knock the thing over. Also once the motorcyle started going one direction it was hard to get it going back the other direction. It seemes like a good idea but I just couldnt master it and neither could the other 2 people that played with it. Maybe if you had a large are free from all debris maybe but I really wouldnt recommend this especially for the price. Also If I as an adult could not figure this out I wouldnt really recommend for kids either.
