Jasmine Freeman’s world is about to tumble down around her and the one responsible for it is none other than her first love, Derek Titan. She hasn't seen him in ten years, and they are both going to learn the truth of what happened back then.

Jasmine grew up wealthy and oblivious to the destruction her father caused all around him. Derek was from the wrong side of the tracks. In ten years their lives will be reversed. He is now a multi-billionaire tycoon and she works hard, but barely gets by due to her father’s unethical business practices.

Derek comes seeking revenge and instead finds out he has a half grown son and the woman he's been angry with for so many years is not who he thought she was. They both fight against the passion they still feel for each other, but in the end it is irresistible.

Come take the journey with Derek and Jasmine as they rediscover a passion that never died and the lies that kept them apart.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm hooked! December 31, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I am not a romance fan, but I do enjoy a book that has a good plot, with romance intertwined. When I first began reading Melody Anne's book, I ended up being engrossed in the story right away. The love scenes are written very tastefully. I only had a short time to read it when I first picked it up. The next time, however, I poured myself a nice glass of wine, grabbed a blanket and started to read, not even realizing how the time was flying. I get pretty frustrated when an author takes too much time to get to certain areas of a plot. Melody Anne knew exactly when to add the twists to the story, making it flow just right. Derek is lovely! I could easily picture the characters, the environment...I could even feel the frustration of Derek and Jasmine. And yes, I still hate David lol. The few romance books that I did read, just turned me off due to the trashiness. But Melody Anne knows exactly how to write those scenes, and is a wonderful story teller. So, now I'm hooked! I will be ordering the rest of this series, and can honestly say, she has a fan in me. This isn't a long read, but I was grateful for not having to skim through filler words that authors frequently use, just to get the book size up there. Good job, Melody Anne!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable & delicious read!! January 4, 2012

I read this book in one sitting I was all giddy when I completed this story that I bought the others in this series. I absolutely love the passion in this story it was steamy w/the right amount of mmmhhmm in it. I really like that the author has several ebooks that are reasonable priced. I do believe I got this one "free" during Christmas week. I will definately keep a look out for other ebooks by this author.

1.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't Finish February 18, 2012
By Maggie
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors in this book are embarrassing for the author, in my opinion. It doesn't take an editor to know that the plural of employee is NOT "employee's." (It showed up very many times, so it wasn't a one-off typo.) It doesn't take an editor to know that "she seen him" is NOT correct. (It was used in the narrative, not in the dialogue.) I could give many, many more examples, but I'll spare you. I was dying to get out a red pen and mark it up.

In my opinion, the writing was extremely amateurish; I felt like an 9th grade girl wrote it. It was HEAVY on description (and not very interesting description), so I found myself skipping several paragraphs at a time. I called it quits at about the half-way point, and deleted it from my Kindle. I only made it that far, because I'm the type to always finish a book, even when I don't really care for it. Unfortunately, I just wasn't invested in any of the characters, and was much too distracted by all of the errors to finish this one. So I guess I *almost* always finish a book.

The plot *could* show some promise, I suppose...but it would need a major rewrite.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unfortunately a disappointment January 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I rarely give one star but in this case, I must. This book has a pathetic heroine and a very nasty "hero". The plot is one which has been used many times, but can still be well executed without putting off the reader. Granted, romantic fiction is allowed to be fantasy, outlandish in some cases, stretching the bounds of possibility, but there must be some features which ring true. This one doesn't.

The hero's feat of becoming a billionaire from nothing in 10 years is unlikely, not to mention his two cousins becoming just as rich.

His ferocious behaviour to the heroine is a total turn-off and her acceptance of his advances immediately she sees him suspends belief in view of how badly he treats her.

The writing is naive. Repetitious words and phrasing, awkward sentences and so many "...said" makes this book a hard read. A good editor should have sorted this out before publication.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truth be told May 1, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Excellent book I really enjoyed reading this book only thing is I would suggest that nobody under the age of 18 will read this. Even at the age of 18 I still think to young but at that age they are considering an adult so it's their right to read it.

In the beginning of this book I was like I knew what was going to happen as the story started out. I don't get those feelings usually until the middle of a book so this was a really good book for me because it's like living it.

All the things that happen throughout the whole book I loved the part where they became reacquainted again. You never would have thought with the fire they both had against each other was really going to cause an all out war right there on the spot. Good work ethic showed they knew how to keep their personal lives out of their business lives.

As the story goes on an their personal lives change I really expect the truth to come out a lot sooner but reading on and where it was put into the storyline made a lot more sense than if it was released earlier. One thing that hurt me the most through this was what happened to her by her father, I guess with a child involved made it hurt the worse but the ending changed my feelings due to what she and her child got in the end.

Happy reading!
