This clear plastic tubing is made of plasticizer-free Tygon Tygothane formulation C-210-A polyurethane and is designed for use in fuel, pneumatic, abrasive, and cable jacketing applications. The clear tubing allows unobstructed visual monitoring of flow. The Tygon Tygothane formulation C-210-A polyurethane construction maintains flexibility in subzero temperatures, resists tears and abrasion, and can sustain prolonged exposure to oils, greases, fuels, and various solvents and chemicals without cracking or swelling. It contains no plasticizers, such as Di(2-ethlhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), which could contaminate transferred fluids. The tubing has a working temperature range of -100 to 175 degrees F, a durometer (hardness) of 82A, and working pressure ratings that vary by tube size. This plastic tubing is rated as flexible as it bends more easily than rigid tubing, but not as easily as very flexible tubing. It meets U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 21 CFR 177.2600e and European (EU) Directive 2002/72/EC criteria for food contact for quality assurance. This plastic tubing is not designed for use as an implant material, but it is suitable for use in instrumentation control lines, coolant recovery systems, food and cosmetic processing, and transferring abrasive slurries, pellets, and powders, among other applications.
