A gummable board book with teeth, Tykeosaurs is a little treasure that delivers big, sloppy smiles. Adorable (but not saccharine sweet) Anne Geddes-esque photographs of babies in fanciful dinosaur costumes are set to a short, large-type poem. Tykeosaurs is the perfect blend of bright, kid-friendly visuals and text that is fun to read aloud. The babies are bubbly and natural-looking (down to some dino drool on one "saurus"), and are of several different ethnicities. This book contains terrific illustrations (costumes). It talks about how much fun it is to be a dinosaur. You can have a long tail, or a long neck.You can have horns or spiky spikes. But the best part of being a dinosaur is you can crawl all around with a terrible roar. "RRR-A-A-RH!"

My daughter likes looking at the pictures of the babies. We have fun reading this book together and laughing at the adorable pictures of the dinosaurs. We liked this book, but would strongly recommend "Funny Farm", "Zoo Crew", or "Water Babies" for your young readers. We hope that you enjoy all of these books by Tom Arma as much as we do.
