The Tyler Florence Titanium 5-inch Utility Knife is a high quality knife – it offers forged construction and a titanium-plated steel blade that makes it stick, chemical and corrosion-resistant. Titanium is harder than stainless steel with the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal. This knife has a tampered bolster with fully exposed blade edge, which provides top performance and optimal sharpening. It also has an ergonomic handle with TPR coating that provides a comfortable and sure grip. Includes custom size knife block made of Acacia wood. Embedded magnets allow individual knife block to adhere to other blocks in the Tyler Florence Titanium Collection. The knife is good. How good, I won't know until I've had it for a while. There is a slight drag to it. But the block is a terrific idea. I guess I didn't realize until I received the second knife that the holders have magnets. They take very little space and adhere together on your counter in whatever order you desire. I love the concept of being able to put the knives I choose in the order I want them, instead of having a big block on the counter and placement of the knives decided for me.

This knife is Excellent. Came out of the Box sharp as a razor. The rubberized handle is great and easy to grip. I looked at several knives including Global, Wustof, and Henckels and I would say these are at least on par with those. Don't let the price fool you these are High Carbon and Stainless Steel Underneath the bonded Titanium coating. The weight is great and I really enjoy the individual wood blocks. Highly Recommend
