I was moving my old straight bridge around trying to find just the spot so all the strings would stay in tune. I could tune it correctly open, but when I would play up the neck some of the strings would be off. This bridge corrects that and it looks great too.

I used this for my old Framus banjo from the 1930s or so. This bridge is wider than the original bridge which causes the strings to widen out for the bridge then get narrow again as they go down the neck. At first this was a concern of mine, but after tuning it I'm very happy I got this bridge. It sounds the same and since there is more space between the strings I don't mess up quite as often during fast picking.
