Customer Reviews

This is a good movie, great plot, and good acting.
Sharon L Jones
The characters seemed very underdeveloped, and the story was really lacking the passion and meaning that you see in most other movies by Tyler Perry.
Matt
All his movies have meaning and are real...Stuff like that really does happen...I never expected the ending!

Not to give anything away but it shows you the grass is not alway greener! Idk what the deal is with the people giving it one star...maybe because it's not riddled with graphic sex scenes, the situations are real, powerful and true to life. Very good reasons why you should not cheat or stay with a cheating partner!!! Tyler just keeps on getting better and better!

I loved this movie and it was really moving. It makes you see how one mistake can really mess up your whole life and others around you. I would recommend this movie to everyone!

Judith has been married to her husband, Brice, for six years; she's known him for nineteen. Judith and Brice were children when they met - went from best friends, to dating, to marriage.

As soon as I heard how long Judith and Brice were together, I would have thought they set a solid foundation and that they're marriage was strong but since the movie trailer makes it clear that Judith does not resist "Temptation", I knew that was not the case. The adultery was coming and I wanted to know the circumstances that led to the betrayal.

Judith (Journee Smollett-Bell): She was an educated woman and I believe she loved Brice, but the woman had an adventurous side waiting to get out. There was nothing wrong with that. She didn't want to 'exist her life away'. There was nothing wrong with that. But she made bad choices because she listened to the wrong voices. If she and Brice would have communicated better, maybe things would have turned out differently. If she would have taken her mother's wise counsel seriously, she would not have suffered so much pain and heartache.

Brice (Lance Gross): He appeared to be weak, but he was meek (strength under control). He was a calm, sensible man. A good man. His mistake was taking his wife for granted and making her feel unappreciated. I liked the character, but there were times I wasn't happy with him.

Harley (Robbie Jones): A troubled man with abandonment issues. He knew all the right things to say to get what he wanted. There was nothing I liked about him.

Sarah (Ella Joyce): A wise Christian woman. I wanted to know her story.

Melinda (Brandy Norwood): As soon as she was introduced, I could see something wasn't quite right. I was curious about what was going on with her.

I LOVE Tyler Perry so I gave this one a chance but it was horrible. Even if you could get past the acting, the storyline is just over dramatic and extreme. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

TP really starts off well with this flick. He finds a way to finally get us to connect with his characters who seem down-to-earth and relate able, unlike the characters in his other movies. The issue is that he can't help himself but go off the deep end. SPOILER ALERT: The scene where Lance Gross' character finds Journee Smollet in what looks like a sex party with her new beau is unnecessary. Why not just catch them having an intimate dinner somewhere?

Also:
Brandy has HIV in the movie, and at the end she looks exactly the same, but Journee's character Judith walks with a limp and looks near death!

Lance Gross aged like 30 years, and the aforementioned Brandy looks exactly the same!
And future Judith is a totally different actress that looks nothing like Journee
Not to mention the corny culmination scene with the glass shattering all over the place.

Overall it was better than I expected and had these small things not ruined the story it would have worked out well. PLEASE stop being so extra TP! Damn, just tell a good story and stick to some logic!

Wow, I was totally underwhelmed. The female lead is a therapist with a Master's degree, who lets herself get manipulated by a psycho. How is it possible that she can't actually communicate with her husband, whose also her childhood sweetheart? I can't decide what was weaker; 1) Vanessa Williams' French accent, 2) Kim Kardashian's acting, or 3) this tired plot. The idea that you can't share your insecurities, fantasies & kink with your husband is sad & this movie was predictable & uninspiring.

I like Tyler Perry and expected so much more than this ridiculous mess. Anything would have been a better use of that $3.99. The only thing worse than the worn out story line was the horrible acting. Kim Kardashian should have been my first hint.
