i was disappointed in Type Addicted. It reminded me of another one of those grad-school senior project showcase picture books. I was expecting for at least SOME verbage on type, and font and the whole revolution in the shift and the need for it in today's broad-ranging design industries. I was hoping for some inspirational, fresh, new ideas and concepts with a few peeks at how they were applied.
I was really bummed, almost returned it. Still would return it. Wish i would have known prior to purchasing more about this book's contents.

From the cover and through all the book you'll find many surprises. Lot's of wonderful and talented people. Inspiration.. should be the title of this book.

I agree with all other reviewers - which was either 1 star or 5, so I had to average it out.

My understanding of the definition of typography is the art and technique of arranging type, type design, and modifying type glyphs - on paper or an lcd.

IMHO, the Typography in this book is for graphic designers and art directors. If you are looking for inspiration for graphic design this is your book and I agree with J. Rodriguez.

If you are looking for inspiration for your website or printer material this is not the book for you and agree with T. Snodgrass - don't buy this book. I too was disappointed by the contents of the book but can't give it 1 star because it is a well executed book with it's pics and descriptions.

Pictures are excellent and descriptions brief & to the point.
