About the Author

Vicky Jo Varner is a Self Discovery Specialist and life coach who has been using multiple models of psychological type combined with a coach approach to guide her clients through personal growth for over 10 years. She was trained by the esteemed TRI faculty under the guidance of Dr. Linda Berens, who authored many of the tools Vicky Jo uses in her practice. In addition to providing personalized coaching for individuals, she also runs group workshops and presents regularly at international conferences. In recent years she has been amplifying the theories of Dr. John Beebe and his eight level model of psychological type in her personal practice.

I purchased this CD about the time I decided to contact its author for the free introductory consultation she offers. Vicky Jo Varner is both entertaining and informative, and this CD (with its historical and technical background and its clear descriptions and exercises that help one understand just what the eight cognitive processes are and how they operate) is one of the chief things that help me make up my mind to take the full self-discovery course that her Type Insights Web site offers. I have never made a better decision in my life.

If you want an engaging introduction to the "cutting edge" of research into psychology based on Carl Jung's insights about personality, you could not make a better choice than this. But really it is meant only to whet your appetite for a deeper understanding of the research and its application; and if you're not careful, it likely will do just that. ;)
