Just purchased Typing Instructor for Kids Platinum
5.0 (Mac). My iMac (Mac OS 10.6.6) is brand new and working fine.
Online download went fine. Program opens but freezes before it
gets started, requiring a 'force quit' to exit. The error message is:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a
null object reference.

The company offers no technical support by phone, only by email. Email exchange over the past week has been "minimalistic" (one liners at best). Problem has not been resolved over 4 email exchanges.

I am a home educator and I was looking for a Typing Product appropriate for my younger children. I did some research on [...] and I found Typing Instructor Platinum for Kids. I was concerned that it may not be compatible with our Mac but it was... and it works great! My children love the games, and I love their typing improvement!

My 8 year old child really enjoyed getting this about 6 months ago, and is typing maybe 15 words/minute by now with intermittent but regular practice (using this software and playing the games it offers). Will be way ahead of the class when they start "keyboarding" (as they call it now) in a few weeks. The games are fun...here come the sharks, quick, type that word to eliminate them! Hard to explain but they are very kid-friendly and all I can say is I've hardly had to help, and my child knows most of the keyboard/letter locations already. Highly recommended...runs OK on a little older Mac too, 10.4 OSX.
