Book Description

Krontos Lazarevic may be the vilest sorcerer to ever live. He stands in the way of William Barrow (aka Judas Iscaritot) finishing his quest to reclaiming thirty pieces of silver paid to him to betray Jesus Christ.

Forced to flee an underground fortress in Abingdon, Virginia, William and his family, along with former CIA specialist, Cedric Tomlinson, and William’s immortal druid companion, Roderick Cooley, end up in the quirky spiritual town of Sedona, Arizona. For a short while, it appears they might finally have a moment to enjoy life without looking over their shoulders. But the purchase of a horse ranch brings only temporary happiness once Krontos demands William’s surrender of the Dragon Coin.

In the midst of this latest crisis, another blood coin resurfaces. Believed lost with the fall of the Third Reich, this coin was once legendary for miraculous events among prisoners at Stutthof and later Auschwitz concentration camps. For that reason alone, it is preferred by Krontos over the Dragon Coin. But the coin also is key to restoring a medieval shrine known as The Silver Trinity of Death.

The race is on to block Krontos from purchasing the Stutthof-Auschwitz Coin from the antiquities black market. If the shrine is restored to its previous state, nothing will stand in the way of Krontos’s grand designs—something he once enlisted the Nazis to help accomplish.

The atrocities of World War II serve as a reminder that unspeakable horror is never far away. And as such, the stakes have never been higher, or deadlier, for William and the gang as they travel to Germany, Poland, and finally Hungary to stop this latest madman from taking over the world.

Acclaim for the novels of Aiden James:

"The intense writing style of Aiden James kept my eyes glued to the story and the pages seemed to fly by at warp speed. ...Twists, turns, and surprises pop up at random times to keep the reader off balance. It all blends together to create one of the best stories I have read all year."
--Detra Fitch, Huntress Reviews for "The Devil's Paradise"

"Aiden James has written a deeply psychological, gripping tale that keeps the readers hooked from page one."
--Bookfinds review for "The Forgotten Eden"

"Not only is Aiden James a storyteller par excellence, but his material for his story is riveting."
--Huntress Reviews for "The Forgotten Eden"

"The hook to this excellent suspense thriller is the twists that will keep readers wondering what is going on as nothing is quite what it seems. Adding to the excitement is that the audience will wonder whether the terror is an evil supernatural creature or an amoral human...Aiden James provides a dark thriller that grips fans from the opening."
--Harriet Klausner for "The Forgotten Eden"

"Aiden James writing style flows very easily and I found that "Cades Cove" snowballed into a very gripping tale. Clearly the strengths in the piece were as the spirit's interaction became prevalent with the family... The Indian lore and ceremonies and the flashbacks to Allie Mae's (earthly) demise were very powerful. I think those aspects separated the work from what we've seen before in horror and ghost tales."
--Evelyn Klebert, author of "A Ghost of a Chance" and "Dragonflies"

"Aiden James has a keen eye for detail and an uncanny knack for scaring the hell out of me. We are watching a master at work. "The Raven Mocker" is a nearly perfect thriller. Ghost stories don't get any better than this."
--J.R. Rain, Bestselling author of the "Vampire for Hire" series

"As with the previous titles I have read by this author, I found the author's writing style to be silky smooth and the main plot line to be extremely creative. The fertile imagination of Aiden James definitely knows what today's readers want to see in their stories."
--Detra Fitch, Huntress Reviews for "The Vampires' Last Lover"

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun read February 19, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As usual Aiden James has written another book that is fast paced, entertaining and full of historical references. I have enjoyed reading these series of books and this one did not disappoint me. In each of the books of this series, the book is a stand alone with just enough background to fill the reader in on what has been happening in previous books, without it being redundant. However, reading the entire series is highly recommended as you don't want to miss one adventure of the characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW! February 16, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
In the 5th installment of the Judas Chronicles, Aiden James takes William and his entourage to Germany to recover the Stutthof-Auschwitz Coin from the antiquities black market. I felt the emotional turmoil that Aiden has had his characters go through as they visit the concentration camps. The story is well written and I love the characters....even the ones that make me cringe. Krontos again proves to be the evil monster that he is. We'll done Aiden! Loved this story and look forward to #6!

I anxiously awaited the publication of Tyranny of Coins, as the premise of the series absolutely fascinates me. All I can say is WOW, somehow Aiden James has given us the best of the series yet.!!! As Judas Iscariot (William Barrow) gets closer to finding the last of his coins, the danger to his family and friends continues to increase. He is torn between his personal goals and saving his family and his choices have profound consequences. Loved it, absolutely recommend!! I

5.0 out of 5 stars TYRANNY OF COINS IS GREAT March 12, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Aiden James is a master story teller who keeps you interested i what will happen next. This is book number 5 in the Judas Chronicles and by far the best so far. We follow William/Judas on another quest to find one of the coins he was paid for lthe betraying Jesus over 2000 years ago. This coin is called lthe Holocaust Coin as it was in the concentration camps during WWII and was said to be linked to miraculous events among the prisoners there. You will follow William and his family and friends into Germany, Poland and Hungary in search of the coin. Of course there is a villin trying to stop them from finding the coin. We met the sorcerer Krontos in the Dragon Coin and he is still as evil as ever. Will he have success in stopping William from finding coin number 26? Will our old friend (said with tounge in cheek) show up as this is his part of the world? You will have to read the latest in the adventures of William Judas Barrow to find out. I highly recommend this book as it is the best so far in this series and as always is acton packed with lots of twists and turns to keep you turnig pages till the end.

5.0 out of 5 stars Judas is back! March 2, 2014
By Pixie
Format:Kindle Edition
I LOVE this series! The Brilliant mind of Aiden James brings us the next installment of "The Judas Chronicles". In this story we see all of our beloved characters again, William Barrows(Judas Iscariot), Beatrice (his wife), Allistar and Amy (His son and Allistar's girlfriend), His Immortal Friend, Roderick and Cedric ,ex CIA Agent and friend and Bitter Immortal Evil, Evil enemy Krontos. William (Judas) believes he will be made to walk this earth until he can retrieve all thirty shekels he received when he betrayed Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago. The search for this coin takes our heroes to Germany to find a coin that was known to be in The concentration camps during Hitler's rule. Krontos WANTS this coin to complete a unholy trinity of coins that will give power over mankind. Can William and his people find this coin and keep it out of the hands of this evil Sorcerer ? will he lose those most precious to him? And who is the Immortal from the pasts quests that resurfaces? (I'm not telling). The visit to the concentration camps was so very sad and compelling made you see thru the prisoners pain. and when William touches any coin he goes back and has to relive the pain, suffering, emotional heartache and betrayal that Jesus felt. You get a History lesson and a Spiritual lesson in each of the installments of this series. So compassionately and well written. I HIGHLY recommend this this entire series...Thank you Aiden James for such a 'different' way to view History ..I give this 5 shekels I wish I could give more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another awesome story! February 20, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is book 5 in a great series. Aiden James has done so much with the storyline and characters that gives the reader such a journey to travel with it all. This time Judas is still running from the evil Krontos Lazarevic. He just wants to find some peace and happiness for his family and friends. But Krontos won't allow that to happen yet. Judas and his family and friends are on a mission to recover another coin but Krontos has other ideas. Aiden outdid himself with this book and it was so full of emotion that there is no way the reader can't find themselves connected to the journey Judas is on. I really enjoy this series and can't wait to see where Aiden will lead us next.
