Dont know how thecompany does it butit doesnt leave a stcky residue, things dont stick to mytires or bottom of shoes and i dont slip on ice! Wonderful product! I dont expect ot to last for any distance on tires.

I bought this based on the other reviews. I think it is best for tires. I bought snow tires, and I think it enhanced traction/ any other sliding that would have occurred from black ice. I also tried spraying it on my boots. So, it is very sticky. Kind of like if you stepped in a huge puddle of soft drink + bubble gum. Black rubber marks then were left on my floor because it was so sticky and I haven't been able to get these black marks off. So I wouldn't recommend spraying it on shoes.

I was driving around tonight on somewhat icy roads, and had this stuff sprayed on my tires. My rear wheel drive truck didn't slide around at all! I also have my usual sandbag weight in the back... Will have to see how it performs the rest of the winter, but this is very promising stuff!

This isn't a substitute for winter tires.

For those riding on all-season tires (as opposed to winter tires), this spray can get you out of a slippery situation in a pinch. If works well on packed snow and ice, not so much on loose snow. Just don't keep the can in the car because it will lose pressure when cold and will not spray. This is the only reason I give it 4 star because they should have used a hand-powered spray bottle instead of a pressurized can.

For those riding on summer tires in winter, please examine sanity.

We have a steep, gravel driveway. It is cleared leaving about an inch of snow to keep from throwing or plowing the surface. As time and traffic go by, this turns into a layer of ice. An application of Tyre-Grip enables us to get out of the driveway without difficulty, and it continues to help on snowy local roads. Minor problem is the difficulty of application in a tight garage.

I'm not very brave when it comes to driving on snow/slush/ice. I used 5 cans during this winter. I am still very
cautious in bad road conditions, but this seemed to help. I have a rear wheeel drive car, and the front tends
to slide more than a front wheel drive car. When I spray this on, my front end stays going forward when it should,
and sticks more on the turns. I am now buying my stash for next winter. My boss also like this product since I
don't take every snow event off of work.
