It's a perfectly fine lab coat
This is a fine Tyvek lab coat. It is disposable, and can be used a few times if you like. If you're thinking of using this as a costume, just remember that regular lab coats cost around $35. This is made of Tyvek paper, and that's just what you'll be getting.

Man, I really should have read the comments first!
This item does not match the photo at all. It's paper, doesn't lay right, and has a big blue sticker on the lapel that does not come off.

I bought this at the last minute for a prop and it wasn't exactly a mad scientist's coat, but I couldn't beat the price for a last minute purchase. It looks like it would be fine for a one use lab coat in a real lab.

I ordered this for a prop because it was cheap. I knew it wasn't going to be great, but I still expected more. Way too much for a piece of paper, and the picture was very misleading.

I purchased this as part of a "doctor's kit" I was putting together for my 8yo. To say the quality is TERRIBLE doesn't even begin to describe it. Ladies, think of that paper gown you get at the gyn....then maybe give it just a little bit better quality....maybe. AWFUL! I was so disgusted. Honestly, when I opened the box that contained other items, I thought the lab coat was part of the packing material! That is how bad it is. I realize it's a disposable coat but really....for 8.99 is should be of better quality. I might give you $1.50 for this.
